Same procedure when you are stuck in mud or to reduce wheel spin.

Though I can easily do it by feel lang sa gas pedal with 7deg incline. Maybe practice a bit or just put it in 2.
Oh ok, so dapat pala shift ko sa 2nd gear, not 1st....nasanay kasi ako sa manual tranny na 1st lagi ginagamit...thanks for the advice sir Janemar, will try it next time.

I was not using the handbrake that time kasi it was not steeply inclined. The everest was just not moving when i'm not pressing the gas pedal.

I will try that too next time..same with the suggestion of sir Janemar...maybe next time i will have better control..thank you for the suggestion!

Wait! Forgot this one, all everest have hill start assist... Basically, if incline is more than 3degrees at nag full stop ka, pag release mo ng brakes. May delay ng 3seconds bago sya magrelease. Maybe isa rin yung factor kaya nahihirapan ka smoothen out.. Para sure, after mo release brake pedal when in S mode and 2nd gear, bilang ka muna 4seconds before applying throttle or 1 quick initial blip sa gas pedal para macancel HSA.

di mo lang siguro kabisado ang throttle pedal mo kaya hirap ka mag control. increase rpm slowly until you feel the vehicle move then ease up on the pedal. i park in reverse on an incline everyday and i can bring the bumper as close as 2 inches. practice lang sa apak ng silinyador yan.

    Quick tip,

If nakapark ka sa sidewalk, especially at night, you can use your signal light, i switch mo on which side gusto mo illuminate at iilaw ung parker light both front and rear. Mamatay sya if na reach na nya critical battery low voltage.

Maybe that's the reason why when I initially step on the throttle upon releasing the brake pedal, nothing happens, the everest doesn't move, so i keep pressing down on the throttle to make it move, then suddenly after a few seconds it suddenly surges forward...dun ako nagugulat. May hill start assist nga pala everest. I will try your tips sir janemar, thank you so much for the advice!
