Maganda siya. Impressive design :D
Speaking of design....
Ford EcoSport Review - YouTube
This video explains the styling of the EcoSport, they also mentioned the sharp portions (edges) on the rounded D-pillars and tail lights which were designed to improve aerodynamics.
Interesting details.

Good day, any idea kung kelan to lalabas?
Mga nasa magkano kaya ang price range? TIA
I think this is the perfect car for my sister. Sinasuggest ko kasi CRV pero mukhang mas maganda 'to.

If ever, this will sell very well. Considering how Ford commands in the truck/SUV game.
I hope they could bring in the all new Escape/Kuga as well. I already saw a couple of units (one with dealer plates, cant read it accurately though from afar).
On Ford Philippines' FB page, they posted the link to the EcoSport FB page (for the Live Chat of their Small Car Vehicle Line Director of Ford Asia Pacific and Africa tomorrow).
There is still no mention when the ASEAN debut of the new Escape/Kuga will be, though it's expected to go on sale in Malaysia mid-year or later this year. Take not though, since Ford Malaysia offers European sourced models like the outgoing Mondeo and the Ford S-Max mid-size MPV.
From what I'm hearing the EcoSport is sure to come to Philippine shores, while there are no plans on bringing the new Escape over at all. I think Ford is planning on replacing the Escape segment with the EcoSport. I for one have been waiting for the new Escape since last year, but I guess I have to look for a different brand now.
I think Ford will be launching the new Escape/Kuga at a later date, looks like the priority of Ford now is entering a new segment in the ASEAN, that of the B-segment crossover with the new EcoSport.
Ford does not consider the EcoSport as an Escape replacement, the Fiesta-based EcoSport crossover is in a new segment.
-FordThis sporty, compact SUV will not only allow Ford to enter another new segment in ASEAN, it will help to define a whole new vehicle segment for the ASEAN region

Please read this...
- Is Ford PH still bringing in the Escape in spite of the EcoSport? - News | TopGear.com.phTo clarify the Escape's fate in our market, we asked Krieger over dinner what the real score is. He said the new Escape will arrive but only after the EcoSport has gained some footing in the market. The reason for this is that Ford doesn't want the two small SUVs to cannibalize each other's sales.
Hmm, it's looking more like the Escape really isn't coming anytime soon. Topgear is speculating that if ever they are bringing the Escape over, it would be late 2014 pa. From what I'm hearing though, from a family friend who would know about this, they really have no plans of bringing the Escape over anymore. Maybe it all depends on how EcoSport will perform and whether they have more new models to introduce next year. The American bosses emphasized that the EcoSport will be the only B-segment SUV in Ford's Philippine lineup for the foreseeable future.
The Escape is C-segment. The EcoSport is B-segment. 2 Different segments.
EcoSport = Fiesta
Escape/Kuga = Focus
By any chance is your family Friend Randy Kreiger, president of Ford Philippines?
All I know is Ford Philippines never launched 2 mainstream models at the same time.

Yeah I am aware of the different segments that EcoSport and the Escape is catering to. However, with the competition in the C segment SUV right now, I think it makes sense for Ford to bring the EcoSport over and treat it as a very affordable SUV. Not many people would look at it as a B segment SUV, for average car buyers, they just see it as a cheap and cost effective SUV. I am guessing that pricing for the EcoSport would put it at an advantage over the other SUVs.
As for our family friend, no he is not Randy Kreiger, but someone who meets with him a lot for Ford related meetings. I'm also hearing stuff about the Everest. In any case, things can change, so you never know. I'm personally disappointed that they didn't bring the Escape over last year, and if ever they do bring it over, it's looking like mid to late next year pa as reported.
