Ford is now testing the next Ranger through some of the world’s toughest terrain | TopGear PH

Ford is now putting the all-new truck through its paces across some of the world’s toughest terrain. So far, it has covered 10,000km of desert driving, the equivalent of 1,250,000km of customer driving, and the equivalent of 625,000km of off-road durability testing at maximum load capacity.

IMO, although its a good "publicity stunt" for the media... Ford should test it Pinoy style...

EDSA, C5 and Espana... when the Ranger is 25 years old

I see leaf springs in the teaser video. Looks like standard models will continue with rear leaf springs.

The platform stablemate next gen VW Amarok would probably using rear coils similar to the Ranger Raptor.

I guess we'll find out in the coming months how "unique" the Amarok is since it was engineered by Ford & will be built by Ford alongside the Ranger.

    It's finally wider by 50mm.

1910mm? The Everest will be wider than the land cruiser Prado.

Assuming the body also grew exactly 50mm wider like the tracks, that would make it just 20mm narrower than a base non-Sasquatch Bronco.
I read before that the Bronco's T6 chassis is based on the Next-gen Ranger's updated T6 chassis. I guess that explains why the front wheels of the next-gen Ranger moved 50mm forward.

Ford finally reveals all-new 2022 Ranger pick-up -AUTOINDUSTRIYA

Under the hood, the all-new Ranger will come with three engine choices. There's the all-new 3.0-liter twin-turbo diesel V6, an improved 2.0-liter EcoBlue turbo-diesel inline-four (available with either single or twin-turbo setup), and the gasoline-powered 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine.

As before, the powertrain can be had with either a six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, as well as a ten-speed automatic. When it comes to drivetrain options, Ford said the all-new Ranger can come with a shift-on-the-fly 4WD system or a more advanced full-time 4x4 system.
The 3.0L V6 twin turbo diesel might be from the VW Amarok...

It could also be a version of Ford's 3.0L Powerstroke V6 (used by the F150).

Ford teases 2022 Ranger Raptor's new twin-turbo engine
    -AUTOINDUSTRIYA

But which engine could this be? Ford currently has the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 found in the F-150 and Bronco and the larger 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6 that powers the Explorer ST. Should the pick-up get the former, it could produce 310 PS with 542 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the latter generates 405 PS and 562 Nm of torque. Like the Ranger Raptor currently on sale, it might continue to use a ten-speed automatic transmission.
    My theories here,
the 2.0L Twin turbo Diesel version only for the standard Ranger Raptor. The 2.7L V6 Ecoboost version might be reserved for the Ranger Raptor R. It's just like the rumors for the F150 Raptor R with a supercharged V8.

Let's wait and see, since Ford is handling the development, engineering, and (soon) manufacturing of the next Amarok alongside the Ranger in Ford's South African Plant.

I do wonder if it's going to be a V6 EB or the 2.3 EcoBoost mentioned in the next-gen Ranger launch. Either way, both will out accelerate the 2.0 TT Diesel.

I guess this confirms the diesel V6 is a Ford engine.

"Customers wanted a choice of more power and torque for towing heavy loads and extreme off‑roading, so the team added Ford’s proven 3.0-litre V6 turbodiesel and developed it for the Ranger. It is one of three turbodiesel engine options available at launch."

Di naman nila madadala yang 3-liter v6 na turbodiesel rito sa pinas kung yan ay rated euro v or above.

they might not bring it here because the bigger F150 also has a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel that might be the same engine in the all new Ranger.
