the Thai-spec Raptor comes with a beefy 3.0-liter twin-turbo EcoBoost V6. It replaces the 2.0-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that made 213 PS and 500 Nm of torque. The new six-cylinder engine cranks out an impressive 397 PS along with 583 Nm of pulling force. Power is then sent to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.

When it comes to engine options, there are two choices announced for the Thai-spec Ranger. First is the 2.0-liter EcoBlue four-cylinder single turbo-diesel with 170 PS at 3500 rpm and 405 Nm of torque at 1750-2250 rpm. The engine is paired to either a 6-speed automatic transmission with Select-Shift or 6-speed manual transmission.

"The biggest news for performance fans is the introduction of a new twin-turbo 3.0-litre EcoBoost V6 producing up to 292kW (392hp) at 5650rpm and 583Nm of torque at 3500rpm tuned by Ford Performance. The 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel engine will be available in select markets on the next-gen Ranger Raptor from 2023, with market-specific details provided closer to launch."

Now I wonder if we'll see both engine options here.

If a turbo gas engine is offered, I might consider one. For our next vehicle, I told my wife that I am hinting on a pickup truck or go big for the Explorer.
