Guys I finally figured out how the collision alert works. Macsd is right, it's a distance sensor. If the vehicle in front stops suddenly and you are closing in too fast it gives off the alert. It also triggers when someone or something suddenly crosses your path. Minimum speed is I think is 8km/h to activate it.
Not the distance per se but the sensitivity sir. The higher the sensitivity and it detects further away if a vehicle suddenly stops.

To owners, what's the real life FCC difference between the V6 and the EcoBoost variant? I heard that EcoBoost is actually more thirsty. What figures do you get? Thanks.
I have not driven them back to back, but in my experience, the 2.0T is more fuel efficient.
Talking to those who have driven them back to back, on the highway going to Subic, the 2.0T can go much further on less gas.
The 2.0T has a wider optimum BSFC window (the part of the rpm range where you make more power for less fuel) and, more importantly, two-wheel drive. The lack of the extra drag of the AWD system alone accounts for a big chunk of fuel savings versus the V6.

If only FORD had offered the 2.0 Ecoboost Limited before, then I probably would have gone the 2.0 Ecoboost route. I don't really need the AWD functionality. I don't need the towing and auto park features. Besides, the 2.0 Ecoboost now has more colors to choose from. I hope FORD will offer the Dark Side color here.

BTT: My unit is going to be 2 yrs na next month end, 10.6Km palang tinatakbo. hahaha... it's 2 yrs old na din from manufacturing date.
Sakin mag eexpire na warranty on october this year.. Mejo natatakot nga ko e sana di magkaproblema haha. Mine is at 7,700kms. Ford called na for service sabi ko sagadin ko na yung 6-8months interval kasi kakaservice ko lang last 5k nung october
2 years & 2 months na ang Explo ko at mga 3,500 km pa lang ang tinakboIsang beses ko pa lang napa-PMS coz I base mine on distance rather than Ford's money-making scheme of every 6 months PMS. And true enough, I get a text from Ford Global every six months reminding me that its time for the PMS
But it's been a year since the last check up kaya papa-PMS ko na din tsaka may warning na ako dun sa control panel saying that its time to change the engine oil (0% oil life na hehe) pero ang alam ko ay pwede i-reset yan para lang mawala yung warning. Pwede nga ba?

Anyway, sakin din before inabot na ng 1yr before ako mag pa pms from 5k to 5,700. So naisip ko kahit 700 lang natakbo, pina service ko na din para sure. Now plan ko is 8months max sabi din sakin ng ford. For sure kasi time nanaman mauuna instead of distance.

Ah okay. Almost same tayo sir. Mine is almost 7,8t. Im thinking to use the car more frequently kasi this year patapos na warranty. Para if may prob, malaman na agad and mapaayos na.
I got my unit noong Sept. 2012. I now have 17,000 kms. Problems encountered thus far:
1) Exhaust Smell
2) Moon roof rattle
3) Buzzing sound in the windshield - driver side
4) LOUD and ANNOYING Buzzing and creaking sound - passenger side
5) TOO many plastic appliques not attached well to the body (check under the hood)
Feeling ko flimsy ang body nitong Explorer to reduce weight. Madali siyang mag flex thus the noises in front and the moon roof rattle. Para tuloy feeling luma na agad ang unit. Good thing FORD Alabang is very helpful in dealing with these issues (sana maayos lang talaga). Grabe kasi for a P2.6 million unit, dapat minus these issues na.
Sakin din. Madami ako naririnig na rattle/click/ticking sound sa loob naman. Di mahanap ng ford alabang e. Also tried mga ibang solution, no luck. So decided na pabayaan ko nalang siya at magsounds nalang din ng malakas haha. Meron din ako naencounter na hood paint bubbling parang nagputukan na maliliit around the hood edge paikot.
