If both delo and zic oils meet your vehicles requirement go for the cheaper oil. Zic obviously [emoji28]

Haba na pala ng usapan. It's a 2010 vios, manual. Nasa 30KM per working day lang ako, 2-3 hours.
Mechanical wear and tear don't happen overnight

Sa mga current user ng ZIC diesel oils.
For crdi-vgt diesel engine, ano mas maganda for better fuel consumption, ZIC X9000 15w-40 o ZIC X7 10W-40
15.33 vs 15.04(x7) lower results to better fc
Good luck

Ako matagal ko na gamit zic x7 10w-40. I think my oil change comes to about 1300php inclusive of the oil, oil filter (original) and labor. I change every 6 months. Laki ng tinipid ko sa gastos changing from royal purple to this one.
How about FC?
May positive gain ba if I switch to zic x7 10w-40 ?
Coming from HGMO FS.
Positive gain on your budget, for one. Zic is cheaper.
When my car was casa maintained, I was using their HGMO FS 5w-40 diesel then switched to Mitasu. No different. I plan to use Zic after I use up all the remaining Mitasu oil. And as I can’t see the logic of a change filter & top up every 5k, I just do it every 10k for now.

Sulit price ng X7, even the X9. I might use the X9 on my FXT on its next oil change. For my Fiesta, I will use the X7 5w20.

For Diesels in particular, an oil filter could very well be saturated with soot and crud before the motor oil needs replacing.
One of the engine oil's job is to put combustion particulate by-products in suspension so that the oil filter can catch them. Oil filters can only hold so much crud and eventually, it clogs up. Although, oil filters are equipped with a bypass valve so oil can still get through (bypass the filter element) to continue lubricating the engine. But that also means that the unfiltered oil, with particulates still in suspension, gets fed back to the engine oil galleries, bearings, sleeves, and other nooks and crannies. These larger particulate matter, which should've been scrubbed by the filter, are like rubbing compound and it's not something you want floating around inside an engine unchecked.
So even if your fancy full-synth oil is good for another 3-5k Km, the oil filter has probably reached a point where it's doing little to no filtration.
Thanks for this. I noticed that even after 3k, the engine oil is already dark, even though I drive long distances in the tollways every day weekdays & hardly go through traffic. I usually cover 700 kms every 10 days now. Hyundai goes for a 5k change filter & top up with a full oil & filter change every 10k while Kia does a full oil & filter change every 5k. Which makes more sense?
