Minsan kinakabahan ako sa Langis na to Kase sobrang mura pero ito parin ko ginagamit ko sa D4D mas lumiksi nung naka Zic X7 10-W40 kesa noong naka Mag1 fully

baka repeated short trips yan. this shortens oil life dramatically
you might be better off w/ mineral oil and replacing more often
this idea of using "fully synthetic" to get away w/ changing less frequently might be doing more harm than good
Has anybody really experienced engine broke down because of not following the manufacturer's recommended oil change intervals?
Hanggang nabenta na ninyo yun sasakayan, anong nasira na major sa engine?

Yes, but for those who don't follow the change oil interval religiously, anong major nasira sa engine ng sasakyan ninyo?

Ganyan sasakyan namin most of the time. House to office is 1.5kms without traffic.
But Zic selling for 1600 (6liters) vs Delo selling for 1500 (6liters din), I opted for Zic na lang. Almost same cost naman.
But I change at 5,000kms interval. Kahit pa abutin ng more than 6 months bago mag 5,000kms.
Thanks for the info on this thread.... A big help...
Ask ko lang pag old cars, 1995 civic, ano mas okay to follow? Distance interval or months?

Same with my 2003 Altis. I couldn't remember having changed its oil earlier than a year. Pinapaabot ko talaga kasi ng 10,000kms, or at the least 8,000. Haven't had any problem pa naman with the engine itself. I had the valve cover opened once to change the gasket and the oil pan too for cleaning and it's sludge free.
Baka this time though eh mapilitan ako mag-change oil earlier. Since may ka-alternate na siya nakaka-less than 3,000 kms pa lang eh mag-one year na.
Mga bus companies nga every 15k km kung magchange oil, delo ang gamit. Million km na tinatakbo di naman nasisira makina

Kind of agree with you, sir. Too frequent. Especially if it's still under warranty and everyone's afraid to void the warranty, follow casa recommendation -- 5,000 kms or 6 months, whichever comes first. So you have a lot changing oil on the 6th month even though the vehicle just ran, say, 2000 kms in that interval. Lots of (still) good oil being thrown away, IMO.
actually i don't know the answers but let's put it another way:
suppose a huawei phone costs P100 more than a xiaomi. what's the expectation that the huawei is SIGNIFICANTLY better than the xiaomi? shouldn't we assume that they're about the same?
i think the same principle should be applied to motor oil...
Before i used Zic fully synthetic, no issues naman. Transferred to Delo after reading a lot of good reviews and meron pa mga UOA after long OCI. So far so good pa din. Slight decrease in FC due to thicker oil lang.
