I just had an oil change last month with just a tad 1k on the trip meter..coz of the price, im gonna have my oil change 1st week of feb before our road trip...

Sabay ka na lang sa group buy ko for Zic 5w30. Mura lang kuha ko sa 4L container.

Zic is now one of the big Oil Lubricant brand of the world....

I did a little digging and found out that Zic is listed as an API licensee. It confirmed that SK Zic is not some run-by-night outfit and that their products are certified for the API rating they claim.

Go here: Directory Search
Click the Product radio button, and
Put “Zic” under Brand and click search.

Interestingly though, Pertua is not listed in the API website. Unless they go by another name, it’s a mystery where they got their API donut that is printed on every bottle.

I've been skeptic about Pertua from the beginning too. But there wasn't any tangible proof then.

We now have it. They're using API ratings they're not licensed to use, much less certified.

Amazon has recently started selling their own oil under the AmazonBasics brand. Even though it's a rebadged product, they still have to go through the API approval under their own brand name.

I was skeptic about Zic but a friend who's a long-time user of Zic has convinced me that they do offer good oils. Korean manufacturers would not use them if they are not good. Used it mostly on turbo gas engines but just recently used it on an NA engine.

Yes that is also my concern I have seen the market place and shoppee selling Php1400/6li of 5W-30 and 10W-40 not sure if genuine Zic or fake.

here is an original zic. same korean bottle.

I think most of them are genuine.. meron lng nag rerecycle ng bottles just be careful. there are legit sellers naman sa fb. Andy's parts depot is one.

Mitasu is listed as well. I had my doubts with that oil as well due to a lot of negative speculations as to its origins.
