The newer 5w30 and 10w30 diesel oils can be used on croaswinds but isuzu had higher requirements then(the 18:1 compression ratio comes to mind). Maybe the older oils from 20years ago didnt meet the isuzu requirements. The newer x7 from zic is probably good enough for most diesel application. It was only recent that 30w oils were developed for hdeo applications. Dexos2 is 30w, new forts/hilux in thailand require 30w.

Sure you use them. Chances of failure is probably low. Owners who have went past 500,000km probably followed isuzu requirement without any fuss. Your suggestion is better presented with facts instead saying(forcibly), "ganito eh, wala kayo sa akin".

I BEG TO DISAGREE.

Hindi limited to 5w40 bro. The 1.6 vgt of the accent can work with multi grade oils 0w30/5w30/040/5w40 (according to hyundai) and as long as it conforms to hyundai oil spec requirement.

Thanks bro. That was just in reaction to his post that w40 oils will make the car really slow. But really, how much more speed do you need in Metro Manila? With the traffic & the speed limit, does it really matter?

Ang sinabi ko pong pagong 10w40, 15w40 at 20w50. Pangit yung hatak.

Pero kung gagamit ka 5w40 ok lang. Mas maganda nga lang 5w30 at 10w30 dahil ito ang universal viscosity kahit saan bansa ka pa wag lang yung nagwiwinter na talaga you need 0w20

I bougth ZIC X7 10W-40 API SN 4-liter gas. This is a full synth, as indicated in front of the gallon, or it appears to be. As I read at its back it says, ZIC X7 10W-40 is a synthetic blend...

Kumunot nuo ko. Di ba kapag synthetic blend ibig sabihin hindi full synth?

For those who bougth ZIC X7 10W-40, have you checked if it is full or synthetic blend?

    Thanks.

Some zic x7 descriptions say: 100% synthetic motor oil. Different varieties of x7 exists as mentioned in the other thread.

Yours is obviously a blend. Its still more than 50% synthetic as their x7 brand is very good and rated for 10k intervals.

I dont think youre driving that hard naman hehehe. It should still be good.

Confusing nga yung Zic X7 10W-40 (4L bottle).

    Front label: "FULLY SYNTHETIC".
    Back label: "FULLY SYNTHETIC"
Product description: "SYNTHETIC BLEND MOTOR OIL".

Head over to this two links and they also say "SEMI-SYNTHETIC FORMULA".

    Hi Tech Lubricants Ltd

    http://zicoil.pk/product/zic-x7-10w-40-vhvi-tech/

ZIC X7 is a semi-synthetic formula engine oil coupled with the latest API SN grade, and is engineered with SK's proprietary technology, VHVI TECH.
To verify, let us check the 1L bottle. For sure, the 1L bottle has the same oil as the 4L bottle.

    Front label: "SYNTHETIC".
    Back label: "SYNTHETIC"
Product description: "SYNTHETIC BLEND MOTOR OIL".

I have a feeling, there is a mistake (intentional or unintentional) in the product label of the 4L bottle. It should just be labeled as "SYNTHETIC".

Now, let us compare with Zic X9 5W-40. For sure, the 1L bottle has the same oil as the 4L bottle.

    Front label: "FULLY SYNTHETIC".
    Back label: "FULLY SYNTHETIC"
Product description: "FULLY SYNTHETIC MOTOR OIL"

Now, this one is really "100% FULLY SYNTHETIC".
