pwede sa pwede but i'm not sure about your seals and whether of not they can take the thinner oil without leaking.
sir speedy ano recommend mo? follow yung months or mileage? due na kasi this december car ko if follow ko yung months, 2300+ kms pa lang. wait ko na lang ba 5000 kms? plano ko kasi rp na lagay ko. thanks.
follow whichever comes first. so kung due na sa dec pero konti palang tinakbo, kelangan parin palitan.
additional questions sir..
is it true na grade III lang ang Castrol oils? RP and Castrol kasi pinagpipilian ko for my next oil change. my car's warranty is over so pwede na ako outside the casa.
is it ok to use 5W-30 instead of 10W-30 on my 2007 Aveo? will it increase the engine performance (even for a small margin only) because it is thinner? it has been using 10W-30 eversince kasi. i am worried about 5W because the manual says use 10W on hot climate.
do i need to flush the engine since i have been using oil from the casa? or ok lang na hindi na magflush pag nagswitch sa RP?
can i use Max Gear for the manual tranny fluid?
thanks in advance sir.![]()
hi sir, imho lang, if you feel uneasy sa pag palit sa 5w-30 then you can still use the same 10w-30 with royal purple...
since you're vehicle is quite new, im sure din na you're seals are still intact and can still handle thinner oils.
after my 1st casa 5k change oil I moved from shell full syth then on my 15k change oil i changed to royal purple 5w-30. and it really gave me positive results on my observation.
im now near my 25k change oil and will also change my transmission oil to royal purple. ( sir Migs!!! handa mo na pwesto ko dyan.. ahihihihi!!! tune up din ako ha? pa check ko yung valve and tappets ko...)
regarding your transmission oil/fluid.. you can check the royal purple site, they have the list of vehicles specific to their transmission fluids recommended.
hope this can assist you sir.
sir how come wlang royal purple 5w-40 here? but in the website mayron. second. you will change transmission for 25k odometer reading? im using 5w-40 for my toyota fll syntetic.
transmission fluid? how many liter needed for toyota fortuner 2.5 diesel?
thank you for your help.
i actually have no problem in using 10W-30 for my next oil change. i am only considering shifting to 5W-30 because i hear that it gives better engine performance. is that true?
regarding my tranny fluid, i have already decided to use Royal Purple Max Gear.
thanks again sir!
based on my experience it didmy fuel consumption before was between 8 to 9km/li then after changing to 5W30 it became 9 to 10 km/li.. sometimes it went around 11... i think it was because it was less traffic that week.. that caused the 11km/li
felt my hp somewhat increased because sometimes i feel the need of having a 'heavy feet' if you know what i mean...and comparing before and after change oils... i tend to shift faster because i was already hitting my desired RPM prior to shifting.. so from that my engine was taking easier to transfer power to the wheels then to the road thus a faster speed.
well, thats for my experience sa ride ko... but of course, iba din ang magiging experience for your engine.. iba-iba din ang mga reaction nila.. parang may sariling buhay. hehehe.....![]()
drin21, if you manual suggests 75w90 you should use the RP max gear. it'll meet the requirements of your transmission. you can use either 5w30 or 10w30. i wouldn't expect any major milage increase if you switch to 5w30 though. yes, castrol, mobil and most other oils are group III. RP, redline, some motuls are group IV. some motuls are group V.
olidotcom, anytime ready yung pwesto mo
baby_scar, we have 5w40 but stocks are not always available. it's also more expensive at 690/quart. 7 quarts for engine. 4 quarts for atf kung drain/refill.
