sir, so you mean 4d56, 4m40, and td42's are better since they have the dual filter set up?

Better than a standard single filter system, but then again if your using low quality filters that can't filter efficiency then the difference is not much difference. But in theory it should work. The TD42's that do have the dual system do use a bypass system, They also have two different filter threads one is 3/4 16 and the other is 1-12UNF kinda weird. But I guess it keeps you from mixing up the full flow and the bypass filter.

One more thing: How about the pressure loss after passing through the dual filtration system? Is it still within the acceptable pressure readings?

No doubt bibili ako ng magandang klaseng filter kung may available. Magkano lang naman. Ang problema ay wala masyado kaya regular change na lang.

Mabuksan nga sa weekend yung Vic na gamit na sa bahay. I'll check the internals kung ano klaseng material ang ginamit.

You may loose a psi or 2 but nothing that is outside the norm. Most higher quality filter actually flow better. We just did this on my co-workers F250 6.0 liter turbo diesel, he had no pressure loss. This is a very common filter mod.

Makes sure they are real Baldwin filters plenty of fakes in that part of the world.

Biggest thing to look for is.

Country of Origin - Baldwin manufactured filters are marked with the country of origin. Baldwin has manufacturing plants in the United States, the United Kingdom, Mexico, South Africa, Morroco and China. If it does not have this it's a fake just makes sure you getting what you paid for.

    Other stuff.

    Color
The color of a Baldwin spin-on filter may not be correct on a counterfeit filter. It may be close, but just not right.

    Graphics
Graphics on the filters, including the logo, may be missing or incorrect. In the photo to the left, the counterfeit filter has 2 I's in Baldwin.

    Components
A counterfeit filter may look right upon first glance, but upon closer examination, you may find major differences. Some places to look include:

Dimensions - The dimensions of the filter may not be the same as a genuine Baldwin filter.

Baseplate - The baseplate may look different or be made from a different material than that used by Baldwin.

Media Packs - Counterfeit media packs often have an obviously lower pleat count than Baldwin. In addition, the pleats may be deformed.

Gaskets - Both internal and external gaskets may look different or be made from a different material than that used by Baldwin

    Real Baldwin box.

Baldwin shop is Volmax - I don't have their number right now. I'll give it out on Monday. The shop is on s padilla in Manila.

Wix filters on the other hand is sold Superior Motors 3741737. It is near Quezon Ave.

from what I have researched these are the two consistent high quality filters even in the US

Wix is a excellent brand, actually one of the better over the counter filters. Just make sure it's the real deal.

WIX Box should look like this. and if it does not say WIX Corporation, Gastonia N. C. made in USA on the back it's not the real deal.

The other countries of production will be these. If no country of origin then it's not the real deal.

    Mexico
    Ukraine
    Venezuela
    Brazil
    Poland

If they come in a plain white box with a Wix label stuck on, are white in color and they come in shrink warp plastic. They have the Wix part number stenciled in blue on the filter it's not the real deal.

    Two style boxes

As you can see they are high quality filter, I got a bunch myself, If I see them on sale I pick them up.

    Ito pala distributor ng wix.

Went to MOA yesterday and found out ACE is still selling fake Purolator filters. No country of origin and only plastic is at bottom, very poor print label on the filters as well.

I have seen 4d56 and 4m40 overhauled engines, only 1 oil filtration nga. No mention of bypass oil AFAIK. Need to check back on my mechanic.
