Your fuel economy will suffer with 50 weight oil and it has no advantages with daily driving, i am not a fan of mixing oils if you dont know how the additive package will be boosted or watered down.

I would check the spec sheet first. But if you got the 50 weight alread.

Also thats not how mixing different weights works thet use different viscosity modifiers whicch may act in a way u dont expect. No it wont hurt your motor but i am not a big fan of that.

At 4000km reading, castrol magnatec with the famous vic oil filter, i can already feel the sandy feeling of the oil using the tissue test. But the oil color is still ok.

On my next oil change, i will be using zic up oil and the valvoline oil filter i got from doc.

A bit OT. I got my Caltex Delo Gold Ultra for P1190/5L. Wala silang 4L or 1L lang eh. May less P100 discount sila so P1090 na lang hehe. Di ko lang alam kung all branches pero new oil pala nila yun. May pin pa yung mga gas boy na nakakabit sa damit nila about their Delo Gold Ultra.

Read few articles on the net that it is safe to mix oil weights as long as both are of same category. So as not to waste
my in-stock TOP 1 5w/50 FS, I would like to mix it with a ZIC A+ 5w/30 FS with the following ratio:

1. For a 4L-oil capacity gas engine:

Top 1 : 2L
ZIC A+ : 2L

will result to Brand X 5w/40

2. For a 6L-oil capacity gas engine

Top 1 : 3L
Zic A+ : 3L

will also result to Brand X 5w/40

If while on the road you are forced to add oil there are rules. Let us say for example that our engine has synthetic Mobil One 0W-30. Use the same type and brand if you can. If you are using Mobil 1 then it is acceptable to mix different grades but use a close grade when possible. It is not a good idea to mix say 1/2 your oil tank with 0W-30 and 1/2 with 15W-50 Mobil 1. If there is no Mobil 1 available then use the mineral based Mobil oils next.

The last choice is to mix a synthetic of another brand. They should not react adversely if mixed but it may dilute additives. This is not a good combination. Use this combination if you must but only until an oil change can safely be performed some time soon.

Selected gas staions lang bro. Dito sa amin nga 2 lang meron niyan. 5L pack nga DGU pati Delo 400. Yung DG ang 4ltr.

IMO yes reasonable na *P260 basta 10,000kms ka magpapalit. If not extended OCI, DGU na lang or DG if hindi CRDi engine.

i have my change oil service here and i accept the price of the oil because my only comparison is the "shell helix diesel plus hx7?" even at CF rating is priced equal or higher than delo400 CI4+.

caltex stations kanya kanya style, initial na price dun sa isang napagtanungan ko 315, pero sabi may discount after talking to the manager, less than 300 na siya after the discount(delo400). though may makuhanan mas mababa, need to get 6 jugs min.
