Pretty sure that has nothing to do with the holes it's part of there system of measurement for thread size all there metric filters have that 6h after the number. Only the China and Malaysian ones seem to have 6 holes. The one made in Argentina and the US have 10.

But 6 is all the stock filter has so it should not be a issue.

Yes that site is legit they have some good prices. But a limited stock selection, but I guess that depends on what filter your looking for.
