I understand why you would feel this way. If you do not want to buy from me, that is also okay because there are other dealers out there that you can obtain this product from. All I ask is that you do not hate the product. Fleetguard is a premium brand. It is designed for Heavy Duty applications and has several decades of research and development behind it. It has won several awards worldwide over the years for their products. I have personally discovered it to be superior than most filters. But then again, that is my personal opinion. It would be better to discover it for yourself.

Just to clarify, I was typing my post when you made your reply, so I wasn't able to read it before posting. As to the product and my usage (non-usage) of it, I suppose those will be the consequences of posting something on the 'Net too hastily. As the representative of a brand, it is vitally important that your words do not reflect badly on said brand - which means not posting anything in anger or haste. I don't hate you - why should I (an Internet forum discussion is hardly cause for hate), but the statement you made previously was hardly the best impression that could have been made. Nonetheless, I do wish you the best of luck in your business, particularly in stamping out these counterfeiters - this is something that would be of benefit to all of us.

A few more points. Fleetguard uses specific supliers for all their plants so there is no variation in production standards like we have seen with the cut open filters.

The second thing is all production plants have a certificate of certification. These are the only approved Fleetguard manufacturing sites. Notice there is no TURKEY listed. As I stated before there is no plant there and any filters coming with a made in Turkey stamp do not meet Fleetguard standards.



This all comes full circle now you see why there is always a country of Origin because only these plants are certified and can be verified and can be warrantied by Fleetguard because they meet the manufacturing standards.

As you can see here there is only 2 plants in China both are in Shanghai and both are certified they follow the same date codes, the same filter packing standards, the same country of origin as all the other makers.

These are just the facts.

As long as the filter has the above standards I would feel good about purchasing that filter. Because it is a fact that they have plenty of real ones in stock, It would be worth the visit if they have one that will fit your vehicle, because VIC and other lower brands just do even half as good as a job on filtering and service life as Fleetguard or Baldwin or Donaldson.

Hopefully we will see a change since the facts are clear and known, the buyer is armed with this and can feel good about getting a high quality filter for the same as or in many cases much lower price than OEM or over the counter filters.

I hope some Tsikot members do attend this seminar I would love to to bring up all my points but I just don't have the time. If I was still in Guam I would do it in a heartbeat.

But if you see a filter like this PASS ON IT! This is from the other listed Fleetguard official vendor. Which makes me think Singapor is the main problem in regards to this.

Individualy boxed with no country of origin, no item description ie. Lube filter no part number printed on the box.

I don't think we will be hearing from him any time soon. From his replies he sounded more like a counter guy not a shop owner. Second the lack of knowledge about the filters is a dead give away.

Yet I have shown and proved that Turkey does not make Fleetguard filters they only distribute them and that no manufacture in Turkey has the ISO/TS certification approved by Fleetguard to make their filters. So how do they ensure the same quality and standards if they don't even meet the CERTIFICATION standards?? Sorry that's just not how it works.

I could go on and on. But I think I have proven my point time and time again in regards to what is real and what are fakes.

They still have plenty of good filters in stock as well as the other vendors I have posted just look for the key things I have posted and you will never go wrong.

Oil specs for AC Delco oils carried in the Philippines.

AC Delco oils are pretty good stuff espcially for gas engines. The Diesel oil is CI-4. Don't know the prices.

dvldoc, i've been reading a lot about autorx. and it seems to be a good product. a bit expensive lang at 1,500pesos for a 300++ml bottle.

Yes it's not cheap but worth it especially on a older engine with higher miles. Especially on diesels. It's about 20USD back in the states.

Something good to add every couple of years. I think it's worth it, not something you need to do ever oil change or anything like that. You just need to change your oil and filter after 800km after adding it.

dvldoc, for your elgrand, what diesel oil are you using and how is your change interval?

The van currently has a Fleetguard LF4056 oil filter on it with Motul crdi oil, But I have put less than 2000kl on that and the van is parked coved and disabled until I get back next year. I just have it started 1 time a month.

I will be upgrading my filters to my new set up and Mobil devac 1300 and 15000km to 20000km oil changes I won't run out of the Delvac for years so I will be using it for a long time.

That is excellent oil, it's almost the same as Mobil Delvac 1300, I'm talking almost exactly the same. Has a bit more moly and just a bit more Zinc. TBN for the Delvac 1300 is 10.5. The Viscosity Index is only 1 point less than the mobil Delvac is 137. cSt * 100ºC of Delvac is 15, and * 40C is 114. It looks like it is just a notch above Delvac but not by much and that is saying a lot because that is some of the best oil out there.


Plus it seems it's hard to find CJ-4 oil there, I'd use it in a heart beat. What brand is that and how much so every can know. This oil seems closer to CJ-4 Plus.

A bit OT sir dvldoc but have you got any idea regarding the use of diesel engines in 4-stroke motorbikes. Seems to me this is quite fine. Only Gas engine oil with friction additives for fuel efficiency seems to be not good for MC since the clutch might slip. Just asking BTW.
