Sir dvdldoc, the boost controller you posted works for a TD27 Turbo (non intercooler, no ecu)? Thanks!

Yes but without a intercooler I would not advise it. Sorry I won't sell you something if I think it's bad for you. With no intercooler you should leave your boost alone unless you have done some exhaust work or at least a downpipe.

My question might have its own seperate thread but since dvldoc is active here just want to ask his opinion about blanking/blocking/deleting the EGR in diesels or if the Elgrand has an EGR will doc include an EGR delete in his mods?

It keeps the engine much cleaner by blanking it. On my engine I use a oil catch can my emissions are so low I don't really need to blank my EGR since I run the LPG and water injection. Just having the system clean with both my alternate injections of I got a 0.45 on my last emission test and with it on 0.25 with the lpg and water injection.

Not bad for a 14 year old van.

Tuning your older diesel is key, if your under powered your engine runs hotter lives shorter, EGT's a higher the turbo lives shorter. Most people have dirty nozzles or poorly tuned injection pumps or severely dirty intakes hurting power and performance.

My fuel economy is also way up do to the LPG injection. I love my LPG gives me a giant boost in power, burn almost all of my diesel. Now that I have a air fuel controller for my van I can up my fueling and get even more power.

LPG is also a simple and cheap mod to do to any turbo diesel, I can make anyone a custom progressive controlled system or boost activated system for well under 18000p. a tank last for months and months and months.

    Your basic set-up
High pressure regulator if you want a big jump in power, economy and emissions so low they always got to test it twice
Standard LPG regulator slight bump in power, better economy, no more black smoke.

High pressure hose, A good 1/4" ID hose rated for LPG will do, Many hydraulic shops carry it. You can find a wide variety of hoses to pick from.

Solenoid valve. This controls when the system is on or off.

Boost pressure switch, or Digital progressive controller based on boost. (I carry these) but you can find a simple pressure switch at most parts stores.

You'll need a variety of fittings to make it all work. I prefer high end brass or nickel plated brass push lock connectors with hose.

This is a example of a LPG kit.

For something like a Pajero or Crosswind you only need 0.5psi to 2psi of LPG remember this is fumigation your not putting liquid lpg in your engine.

I run 8psi of it because my water injection keeps my combustion temps way down, but for a standard vehicle 0.5psi to 2psi of LPG is more than enough. You can feel it come one you will pick up speed without using extra throttle.

This needs to be set up by someone who knows what they are doing because you can damage your engine with a improper set up, You will know your spraying to much because the engine will sound like a box of rocks in it. I could not run over 5psi lpg with my water injection off.

I have all the stuff when I get back to do a full progressively controlled or boost activated kit. Only thing you need is a LPG tank and a tank mount. I don't fear my tank in the back, you can drop those things off a 5 story building and they will be fine. 10 times stronger than any gas on a car.

It's amazing to me that in a land of LPG you guys don't run this. I get a 4psi boost just from my LPG coming on when I am at 100kph and it comes on the van goes to 120 without giving it more throttle and keeps going so you got to keep backing off, It's a blast to drive.

On my systems I put the solenoid valve at the front of the vehicle for quicker response and you don't have bleed down from all the lpg still left in your line.
is this possible to non turbo diesel engine like mine (2004 pregio m/t )

you can but its harder because u need a way to activate it properly. if you have a old school diesel with no electronics is much harder. our progressive controller will work with anything that has a 5v signal on it.

oh i see, thanks anyway,,, i just thought if its installed in my pregio it would be a good investment to save on fuel consumption

Well all you need is a microswitch which are cheap. You would have to have it mounted to your gas pedal to activate a solenoid valve by completing a ground circuit.

    They look like this,

sorry for my ignorance, what will be the consequence if the sol.valve is activated manually (by gas pedal) compare to auto activated (by electronically). TIA

Either way does one thing, It completes a circut on a NC (normally closed switch) and opens it. I prefer only electronically because it would take a adjustable mount to do the microswitch correctly.

again for non turbo diesel engine where exactly in intake suppose to connect the other end of this mod/kit (just so curious)

will you explain in simple terms how exactly this mod works?

    TIA

I use a standard LPG tank, the same kind I use for cooking in the Philippines. It's a 11kg tank. You can use a standard cooking regulator they make about 0.5psi of pressure with is perfect for a N/A diesel.

You will need a solenoid valve to control when it is on and off. It should be only used at around 1500rpm and above.

This is a solenoid valve you can use any valve you like as long as it's rated for gas. You will need some fittings to connect the hose on as well, With the N/A kit you don't need a adjustable regulator .5psi is just enough to give you a nice bump in power and fuel economy.

Your hose will go right after your air filter.

is this safe to install? is there any other alternative instead of LPG or this is the cheapest thing for this mod?
i really like this mod ;-)

I have been doing these systems for about 18 years, Never had a problem, You use the right hose, set it up right, right regulator, activation source and you will never have a issue. I know one member on here that runs it. goes by Dust. You might want to shoot him a PM. He has had it for years along with the methanol injection on his N/A diesel.

Unless someone shoots a surface to surface missile at your car you don't have to worry about the tank, It that got ruptured in a normal car accident you probably all ready be dead. Just make sure you mount it because it can not tip over when in use because you could inject liquid vs vapor. I have had mine on there for 2 years, Can't live without it the power kick is just to much and my fuel economy is insane.

Around 14.5kpl highway even fully loaded. and around 12kpl city, but it could be better if I did not push it so hard, I like to burn out and do fast launches in the van lol.
