I can also conclude bro that a 6 month old Mitsubishi Turbo XP is more fuel efficient than a brand new Mitsubishi mineral oil.

Hope this helps everyone in choosing the right oil for their vehicle.

haven't tried bringing in my own oil for our montero sport. i'm not sure if citimotors allow this (or if they charge additionally). will ask na lang when the 5k pms comes rolling-in

have any of you guys tried the mag 1 5w-40 fully synth all fleet (for '06 fd s/l)? any opinions on it? sale din kasi sa ace hardware

here's the specs: Product Details - Mag 1

I think this is very good. Phos is belo 1200ppm which is ideal for gas cars. Every other components like zinc, TBN, calcium and sullfated ash are good as well. And since its fully synthetic, the viscosity index of 177 is really high and would be really great for your car in our hot and humid weather. Very good engine protection all around. How much na lang ba siya?

I previously used Mag 1 All Fleet, I didn't feel much of a difference with the old oil which i used - Castrol; probably because its designed more for a longer oil change interval. Not sure but the last time that I checked at Ace I think Mag 1 All Fleet increased its price (~ Php 400). I am currently using Liqui Moly 10W-40 with MoS2 which is around the same price as Mag 1 All Fleet comboed with a Baldwin oil filter. The car runs smoother and engine noise significantly dropped with Liqui Moly.

actually 10% off lang siya (it's about Php 789 bucks ata if my memory serves me right) pero matagal na din kasi ako na-iintriga sa mag 1

i'm just thinking why the mag 1 5w-40 full synth all fleet european formula is cheaper than the non-euro formula. there's not much difference naman (for the untrained eye like mine hehe ). here's the link for this naman: Product Details - Mag 1

Oh sorry, I thought that you were referring to the non-euro version, baba ng TBN ng euro version, I agree with Ry_Tower though euro version would be fine for gas. For diesel, a lot of people are recommending Top 1 SDO. IMHO, invest in a good oil filter instead like Baldwin and Fleetguard, oil could only lubricate so much if its full of crap. I'm using Baldwin and currently at 3300 km, oil still looks new! amazing!

*baludoy, correct me if I'm wrong but I remember the euro version to be more expensive than the non-euro. For Php 789 there are a lot of better oils out there .

^^ oo nga. but the problem w/ those filters you mentioned are its availability. i've been asking around around and more often than not stores in the south don't carry those brands. where do you source yours pala? even in the net i can't seem to find any sellers when i checked a few months back.

nope. it's the other way around. the euro version is cheaper than the non-euro. i'll be on the look out for better fully synth oils as per advice

btw, is this the luiqi moly you guys are reffering to: http://www.**************/index.php/...Position,1-6,6

aba'y mura nga para sa fully synth engine oil or should i be wary?
