Honda oil has higher moly sa US and even if theyre 5w30, some oils at operating temperatures are lighter.

Yun clear containers from US market na imported. Im sure they are good.

The others I do no know. Meron na local distributor and you can probably ask them if they locally bottle the oils.

I googled moly, so that's the reason why it feels different. No more experimenting for me from now on, i'll just stick to the oil my engine likes

Kung mga CI-4/SL oil pa ZDDP yan.

Pero mga newer oil Moly na.

Ako personally mas ok pa din zddp dahil dual purpose. Hindi lang daw friendly sa catalytic converter.

The "dexos 1" spec will be relatively rigorous, designed to enhance engine protection AND engine oil longevity. As a result, for an oil to meet the "dexos 1" spec, it will likely be necessary for oil manufacturers to utilize primarily Group III and/or Group IV basestocks in the formulation, certainly adding considerably to the cost of the oil, thus raising the price for the end user. In essence, primarily synthetic oils and high quality synthetic blends will be able to meet the spec.

Additionally adding to the cost of the oil will be the inclusion of molybdenum in the spec for it's anti-wear properties. Although ZDDP is extremely cheap (and effective) as an anti-wear additive (while also working as an anti-oxidant in the oil), molybdenum is incredibly expensive (in the order of 50 times more expensive) and does NOT also act as an anti-oxidant - thereby requiring the use of additional additives to serve the purpose.

Guys need your opinion. Nearing for change oil na ako for 45,000kms. Plan ko gumamit ng caltex delo gold ultra or zic up, both semi-synthetic. since pwede naman sya sa gasoline engine. Ask ko lang anu mas ok sa kanilang dalawa? Or much better if i'll stick to gasoline engine oil. Currently using zic a+ fully synthetic. Thanks

i would use the 10w30 or 5w30 from zic. I think they're using a much better base stock compared to delo.

Ultra is good its not super clear though. Like light honey. Its not that hard to see. Clean the dipstick first with a clean cloth. Then try to get the level. It will discolor after 3000km.

It is applicable for both gas & diesel. I've used it in gas application and drove it for >11K km. w/ baldwin filter and HDD magnet attached on it. Based in my engine response oks naman. Even more than 2K km slightly colored pa rin sya. Though wala ko visual evidence ng engine internal wear.

bumili nA din ako ng mitasu oil na 5w-30 gold fully synth. will do the change oil after this weekend's festivities and see if it's any good.

its price is just a few pesos less than the mag 1 5w-30 fully synth oils i often use so i hope it's at least at par w/ the stuff.
