In my personal preference, I would go with regular motor oil with 5000 km oil changes.

At the oil change intervals, you don't really change the oil. You remove the dirt and contaminants mixed in the oil that the oil filter can't remove.

sa label ng oil---just wanna clarify:

"synthetic" is it different from "fully synthetic"

etong ginamit ko is zic - "synthetic" while ung ginamit ko before na motul h100 "fully synthetic"

Just replace your oil every 5k kms, whatever kind of oil you're using, if you can afford it and have extra cash then go for the synthetic pag wala then mineral oil is enough.

i am using semi synthetic, then replace every 5,000 km.

I think na max ang every 5000 km chankge oil pag mineral, i think better kung mga 4,500km or less ay palit na.

Follow the recommended sched and type of oil by the manufacturer esp kung under warranty just to be safe. If may budget, go fully syn or at least semi-syn and a good oil filter.

para less prone sa engine sludge go ka sa 5,000km oil change, since small interval lang kaya good na ang mineral oil

ako rin but much lower at every 3000km ako. Mineral oil. this is much better than every 10k with fully synthetic. no engine sludge on a Toyota!

You should try to get Mobil delvac 1300 if it's availble. It has a much better additive package for old school diesels.

Prone to sludge pag laging short trips na hindi umiinit ang makina. I've seen this on a Honda Civic averaging 2kms of travel a day for 3 years. Buti na lang may Auto Rx. I think it might be better to change it earlier than 5,000kms if you only take short trips or always get into heavy stop and go traffic.

Delvac mx is mineral based, I also use it on my trucks.

Fully Synthetic Oil is always the better option kung may budget ka naman. Hindi kasi agad nag bbreakdown yung molecules nito so hindi basta basta nag fform ng sludge. It also provides better engine protection against wear during cold starts. Like the posters above me, if you can afford Fully Synthetic every 5k kms, go for it. Best is to stick with manufacturer's recommendations.

What if you don't travel that much? How long do we change oil? Is 3 months the least and 6 months the latest for Mineral/Semi-synthetic?

6 months for mineral na multigrade, can be 1 year for semi-fully syn as long as not more than 5,000kms.
