The problem is that, when starting from a stop position and you start to rev the engine, walang hatak, usually takes about 2 second for the fortuner to move forward. However, while on the move na, wala namang problema, malakas humatak at malakas ang hataw. The only problem is yun nga, pag from a stop positiion. You can hear the engine rev pero ayaw umandar, only after mga 2 second bago aandar yung fortuner..... Since you said that the engine revs up but the vehicle doesn't move........Auto transmission clutch is probably slipping. Check automatic transmission filter and oil level.

my fortuner is casa maintained so regular ako nag papa service, every 5k. When I brought my fortuner to the casa, medyo parang trial and error ang gagawin nila, sabi nila, change muna suction control valve, then pag di parin gumana papalitan na raw yung mga fuel injector. Replacing these parts will cost you more than 100K. Ask the casa for an estimate. Ask them too if they have the necessary test parts (scv and injectors) to validate their diagnosis. Casa should not bill you for these parts if your complaint is not corrected. They can bill you for diagnostics though. Fyi, Toyota common rail injectors can be rebuilt to like-new condition which will definitely save you money.
