From what I have seen, Denso seemingly has a design defect on the suction control valves of their first generation supply pumps. This has caused a lot of problems for engine manufacturers which use the same system.

I assume that it is for this reason that Denso has come up with a redesigned supply pump with an improved suction control valve.

I believe that local car distributors, with the aid of government should compel Denso to replace these problematic pumps with their upgraded pumps free of charge, and whether the vehicle is in or out of warranty. This is how consumer protection works in other countries.

    Hi Dieseldude,

Would you know what Common-Rail system Nissan Navara has in its motor? Have you encountered a unit in your shop(s) that belches smoke? Is it completely rectifiable? What could be causing it?

    Thanks.

    hi dieseldude,

In the company that I work for we have an Isuzu IPV 4ja1 engine. mileage is 80k. emission is normal. just past emission test lately.

Driver said the only problem is whenever he's going on an upward slope engine

shuts down and also whenever he steers fully ( todo kabig when maneuvering). if he starts again he has to turn the idle knob up so engine will run continuosly.

what do you think is the problem?

    thank you dd.

Blocked fuel filter or faulty injection pump. Check fuel filter first.

Totoo yan.

    thanks

Hi Dieseldude. Need your help. I was one of those who unfortunately got my Pajero submerged (near the roof for ~ 6 hrs) last September. Got it running after ~2 weeks but has had some problems once in a while. Last wednesday, after a few minutes of drive, the AT light started blinking so after driving for awhile to drop off my brother, i went back home. But i noticed that it was not shifting correctly already and it had a hard time getting up our driveway which has a small incline. I checked the ATF and it was full. I started it again, the blinking stopped and the power is back. Yesterday, we changed the ATF but didn't help much. The problem is intermittent. What should i check/do? Thanks.

    Navarra uses Denso.

Have you encountered a unit in your shop(s) that belches smoke? No.

Is it completely rectifiable? What could be causing it? I don't know as we havent worked on a Navara yet. Being quite new in the market, most of these would still be under warranty.

    Thanks. You're welcome....

    Hi sir Jake,

Diba TOYOTA and MITSUBISHI are the one equip with this Pump?

Ask ko na din how would you know if mdyo sakal (under fuel delivery) ang pag calibrate ng isang pump? Mdetect po ba ito kahit hindi i pull out ang Pump?

    Thanks,

    Hi sir Jake,

Diba TOYOTA and MITSUBISHI are the one equip with this Pump?

Ask ko na din how would you know if mdyo sakal (under fuel delivery) ang pag calibrate ng isang pump?

    Thanks, You're welcome.

    Thanks, You're welcome.

[SIZE=3]4JG2 uses a rotary pump, either mechanical or electronic, depending on the model. Matutumbok natin ang pump pag napost mo ang part number.
