yeah my methods are probably a bit overkill for the average consumer not to mention that consumer-grade chargers don't have a "god mode" for overcharging. but this diy stuff can be very therapeutic. i actually enjoy doing it the way i see it, replacing the entire battery also takes a lot of time, probably even more time than simply maintaining the existing batt
Kaya ba to using trickle charger/maintainer?
Although matagal nga lang mag charge since 1.5A lang mostly trickle charger.

That sounds like the "12V Repair" mode on Noco chargers. Comes with a warning too that it uses elevated voltage and might cause some water loss.

maybe if you got the noco but i bet the "repair mode" voltages are very conservative. moderate to severe sulfation can't be fixed with just 15 volts

try to get an adjustable power supply on lazada but be careful hehe

    back in the day,
motolite would sell plates and stuff, to independent battery rebuilders. it was essentially a build-it-yourself battery. and it was a cottage industry, back then, replacing individual cells from costumers who were usually involved in the public transpo industry.
we knew this guy, and we would approach him to rebuild our dying cell. kadalasan ay may nakaparadang dyip sa harap nang shop niya.

Just replaced the reliable Panasonic red top yesterday morning after sensing a slight crank delay. As suspected, 20% life left after 6yrs & 9days of service. Not too shabby at all. Sadly, no more of same to be had as Yuasa took over. Swapped in a nippon-made house brand(Raiden) of our trusted batt source as twas the only available factory spec'd 1.. Hope this'll be as good.

You squeezed every bit of juice out of that battery!

I've been keeping track of the health of the OEM battery, a blue-label Motolite Gold.

Back when it was new last April 2024, I took a reading with the batt. analyzer and it gave me this:

    Then this month (October 2024):

So far after approx. 6 months, the battery CCA has gone down 3.6% while the internal resistance increased around the same percentage (3.5%). At this rate, this should last more than a year, at least.

I have been putting it on a battery maintainer on weekends to top it off and this practice proved to be very helpful in the past on prolonging the battery life of my previous vehicle.

Ang dami online. I got a couple made by Lancol.

I doubt it's going to be super accurate compared to real precision instruments costing more, but for the casual home DIY-er, it's all you need.

Lancol lang nasubukan ko. Can't speak for the others. It's more than capable for what you need and it's relatively cheap.

I see some of the shops use it, or some derivatives of it.... basta kasi gawang CN, magkakamukha.
