I'm so amazed that my Amaron battery is 4 yrs and 2 mos old and still going strong!

Before I bought my Amaron, my stock car battery lasted 3 years. I replaced it because I was afraid that it could die anytime and I don't want to wait for that anymore. Looking back, maybe I should not have replaced it because it could have lasted some more months or years.

The stock car battery and Amaron are the longest I've had. All the other batteries I bought would die right after the warranty expires so only a little over 2 yrs. Could it be that batteries or cars are getting better?

I'm curious, what's the longest period before your car battery died?

WOW! Now I think I should not have replaced the stock battery at 3 yrs. Prior to that kasi I never had a battery last 30 months.

I am loyal to Toyota since my AE101

it depends kung saan naka-park ang sasakyan o kung anong oras ginagamit. kapag laging bilad sa araw mabilis talaga ang buhay ng battery, kasi sensitive sa temperature. kahit anong brand pa yan

...considering the car battery is usually located beside the hottest heat generator in the car....

Agree. Kalaban talaga ng baterya ang init sa kanyang service life; At ang lamig naman during vehicle start....

Pero itong replacement battery,-during that time iyong Innova ang workhorse, at palaging bilad sa araw sa opisina... So, to me that's an affirmation. Pero siyempre, sa garahe namin, nakabubong sila....

I wonder if car battery chargers (not sure what these are officially called) such as ctek really work in prolonging the life of a car's battery.

any testimonials from actual users here?

    it should, in theory.
batteries degrade fastest, when kept in uncharged condition for long periods.

any decent battery charger should be able to recharge your battery, keeping it fully charged. but the ctek manufacturer/marketeer claims their product does it more conveniently, with less manual input from the user.

Naisip ko lang, di kaya napapalitan sa casa ang mga battery? That might explain why some batteries don't make it to the end of warranty.

at times, maybe more for imported units and not-so-fast-moving units, the batteries the brand new cars came with, have been sitting in the bodega, already installed, for some time, before buyer drives the car away.
the car may be spankin' brand new, but by the time they get to us, that battery has been there for some time already, uncared for (i.e., uncharged), its life clock already ticking away..

in a way tumatagal sya kasi for the price of 1, eh 2 battery yung nagagamit.. so kung 21 months ang warranty, tapos 18 months tumagal yung isa and another 20 months yung replacement.. so 38 months for the price of 1 battery..

dun sa mga tumatagal over 2 years; ilan KM an tinakbo. sakin kasi lumampas lang ng 15 months (3 weeks after warranty).
upset ako pero 20k KM naman na sya gamit. nasulit ko ba?* 85% city driving
