puede kung puede.
but sometimes, hindi ang pag-kulang ng tubig ang sanhi ng pag-hina ng baterya. minsan, sira na talaga ang mga plaka ( o plato. in english, plates ) at kailangan nang palitan ang baterya.

Yup, tama yan. I did put distilled water in a MF battery, 1 month lang na-extend. Planned obsolescence kasi talaga yan. Kaya mahal, binabayaran mo is peace of mind at convenience na for 15, 18 or 24 months eh no need mo i-check water level inside.

Pero baka sa gamit din siguro. Kapag pangharabas, talagang hindi ma-extend, peor kung gasoline car at relax lang gamitin eh baka kaya ng i-extend yung MF batteries a lot longer.

for some reason, these new batteries do not seem to have such effect.

yun nga lang, may vents nga pala kasi yung mga takip ng LM batteries unlike sa MF na sealed talaga.

im not old, but nun pinatakbo ko yun classic vw bug namin, i got addicted, i was so fond of it to the point na ginamit ko sya as my daily driver for a few years kahit kala kalawang siya, falling apart, and unregistered up to the point na hinuli ako ng pulis several times, and muntik na siya ma-impound... hahaha

those days na ayaw mag-start akala ko battery pero starter bushing... matitirik ako dahil barado ang carburetor, DIY change oil every month... DIY everything. iba talaga yung feeling na gawin mo yourself, yung feeling na ang gaang ng loob mo dahil nagawa mo...

pero sawa narin ako, i went back to a more modern car for daily practical driving!

Yan din napansin mo on our montero. More than 3 yrs. Natengga lang ng 1 whole week na hindi nagamit kaya humina battery. Pero kung di siguro natengga ng 1 tuloy tuloy pa rin. De-tubig din. Unfortunately wala ako mahanap na de-tubig. Kahit sa gs mismo. Gs kasi stock battery ng montero

sa montero ko naman, yung stock GS battery lasted for about 22 months, but before napalitan may hard starting muna sa umaga. replaced it with motolite excel and it lasted around 26 months lang. no symptoms of hard starting, basta na lang isang umaga ayaw na. called motolite delivery at ang nadala nung nagdeliver ay motolite gold. yun ang nakasalpak ngayon and nasa mga 10 mos na...

Tip lang Meron pala nabibili sa true value na grease for batt terminals. Pematex brand sobrang mura lang P20+ naka sale pa. Sachet na maliit lang. They have other grease for different applicstion. Meron for bulb terminals, spark plug thread para Hinde mag stuck up Meron din spark plugs terminal.

I always buy yun for batt terminals.

Usually nasa houseware Siya nakalagay or Doon sa mga glues, mighty bond section.

pa-wala na rin doon.
dati, buong building doon ay puro tindahan ng VW. complete floor pans, meron. super beetle ball joints, meron. wala lang ang tail lights ng type 3.

kaya cinonvert ko na yung vw ko to 12 volts bago ko pinatakbo, wala man lng ako mahanap na battery na 6 volt.

but seriously, we have experience with 6 volt VWs. terrible in rainy nights (madilim ilaw). hard starting if dying battery. and you have to contend with stock generator. i haven't seen a 6 volt alternator...
yup! convert to 12 volts. hindi naman kailangang palitan ang starter, e.

at mas mabilis ang ikot ng 6 volt starter kapag 12 volt ang battery mo. kaya siguro napakatagal ng lifespan ng champion pm battery ko sa volks...

So that averages out to 1 new battery every 2 years.
