Last may ko pa lang nabili yung battery kaso 8months warranty lang sya... With maintenance kasi.
Tingin ko yung H.U. ko lagi kasing nakabukas or may grounded.
Pinacharge ko kahapon mga 2hrs... isang start lang, pinaandar ko nang mga 5mins pinatay ko ulit pagstart ko ayaw nanaman.
Noob question:
Ang battery life ba depends on how often do you use car? or malaking factor din pag hindi laging ginagamit ang oto?
1 year na oto ko and 6k pa lang mileage, got me worried baka biglang maubusan ako ng battery sa provincial roads![]()
Battery life is affected by a lot of factors naman. But biggest killer is heat, vibration and not enough charging cycle. In your case 6K mileage in a year is low but not alarming enough to degarde battery. Basta proper warm-up bago bumiyahe and avoid 3-5 mins travel time or short trips. Give the engine fluids and battery enugh time to work and be fully warmed/operational. Huwag mo na lang i-off agad after a really short drive.
+101 here. add ko lang kung di gagamitin ng matagal ang car, may I suggest to disconnect the negative batt terminal (black color) . sa concern nyang baka ma-dead batt while on the road, isa sa symptoms na malapit nang bumigay kapag hard starting sa umaga. suggest you buy multi tester in CDR king to monitor the voltage output of your car batt . the voltage reading should not below 12V otherwise its time to buy a new batt for backup only
don't worry, po. batteries do not die on the road and the engine stops in the middle of nowhere.. neither do they die at night while raining, leaving you helpless... as long as the engine is running, don't worry about the battery going dead.
they die in the parking lot or garage.. park 'em that night.. difficult to start the next morning. park 'em in the morning.. hard to start that afternoon.
master of the push-start.. that's me.
but i hear, some modern cars may not be push-started anymore..
sigh..
i have a battery charger at home.. a must, if one has an AT..
we used to have a made-in-usa heavy duty charger.. the one that can start the car. alas, we have misplaced it, over the decades. last i used it was 3 years ago.
what i have now, is a cheap panther charger i got from the mall. less than 2K. and no, they do not have a projected lifespan. they will probably last longer than the car..
a trickle charger seems ok, but i don't have the inclination to use one.. hassle..
a trickle charger is one that you connect to the battery, when your car is going to stay un-used for "long periods of time". it sends a small amount of electricity to the battery; proponents say it prevents the battery from losing charge and going flat. it prolongs the life of the battery, daw.

I use this automatic battery charger. Can be left connected to car battery indefinitely (weeks, months) without the risk of overcharging.
