    "expe" = Expedition?

What battery does it have now (make and model)?

Model year and trim of your vehicle?

hahaha! I am impressed, you remembered pa that it's hi life! My second Amaron turned 5 yrs old na! I am not sure if I should wait for it to die rin but then my 11th gen is an automatic so I can't make tulak if it dies when I am out.

How about if you buy the spare and store it in the trunk so you can replace the battery immediately once it dies? is it practical? or nah?

Another problem would be that it shortens the warranty, it's already running the moment you bought it

Umabot sakin 44 months (hindi pa ubos pero nagpalit nako)

Twice a week ko lang ginagamit (before covid) pang mall and church lang. Then nag covid, mga twice a month na lang pang grocery. Not bad!

Pero ako na ang sumuko wala na ako peace of mine. Hindi ako sanay kasi before lagi ako motolite na laging sakto tapos na warranty na uubos.

Nag palit nako kanina amaron ulit

I would just stick with using the same battery size

Unless there is no stock of the correct battery and there is no choice

From what I understand naka 3SM na ata si babkalakal ngayon, so it will definitely fit, and the alternator is definitely capable of charging a 3SM battery.

His question is if it's worth it to continue using a 3SM or go back down to stock size of 2SM.

If the car is frequently used, there are no accessories with big power draw, and accessories aren't operated on battery for extended periods I vote to save the money and size back down.

he can answer his own question.
all he has to do is to see if that larger battery did last longer than the regular-size battery.

yes exactly po the case. thanks for all the inputs. i'm leaning more now towards a 2sm amaron just to compare with my current 3sm amaron and of course the price. original battery if i remember correctly was 2sm na gs brand. it lasted more or less 2years for me.

Disclaimer: Motolite's website is full of marketing jargon but does not provide relevant battery specifications so I had to rely on a third-party site for the figures. Take it with a grain of salt.

In case it's not obvious to everyone, you can't make an apples-to-apples comparison between different models from competing or even the same manufacturer based on the 1SM, 2SM, 3SM, etc. designation.

For example, the Motolite Excel 2SM has virtually the same Ah and RC as the Motolite Enduro 3SM and the Amaron Go 3SM (within the margin of error), but with the two latter batteries being physically larger.

To add, the Amaron Pro 2SM has almost identical characteristics as the Amaron Go 3SM, again, apart from the size difference.

maybe the "support staff" is what makes the battery bigger.
the plates may be fragile, and need additional support in order to last longer?

Yung 3sm ko sa everest just died down at 27 months. Di nagagamit dahil sa pandemic, every 3 weeks lang naipapaikot for 30 minutes.
