Lahat yan iisang tindahan lang. Kahit sino i-contact mo diyan same lang price. I got my 3 Panasonics from them. Wala naman ako issue with their service. Sa Araneta Ave, across Arlington yung shop nila. They can deliver it to you.

Panasonic Tough yata yung 21 months warranty nila, red top cover siya. 5,500 kuha ko 3 weeks ago for 3SM kasama na trade in. 6,000 if no trade in.

Okay so just same seller different names. Are you a long time Panasonic user how long did it last? based on your price it is a bit less compared to Amaron Hi-Life also 21months warranty.

Im going to Jawe tomorrow and if I can find a much better deal with Panasonic then I can consider it. Based on some panasonic user that I know of Panasonic lasted them 3-4yrs so it must be good too.

That shop is owned by TPL din. You can canvass there also.

A little over 2 years palang longest Panasonic ko. Thats the JP blue series installed in our innova. The rest are quite new pa, 6 months palang or less. Can't comment on their longevity pa.

    "isinumpa!"
    heh heh.

except the jollibee and macdonald's outlets.

Could be a defective alternator overcharging the battery by over 15 volts

^ Ouch! Looks like hydrogen gas build-up and something ignited it.

My Amaron 115D31L 21-month warranty is about to end next month. So far, it's still at 100% SoH.

On average, my car was only being used about 2-3x a month from the time the lockdown started. I guess the smart charger was really a worthwhile investment. Prior to plugging in the charger, the battery SoH and SoC were at 98% and 68%, respectively.

You leave your batteries charged until you need to use the car? Or unplug it once done charging?

    Belated happy birthday CB!

This is worrying. Not the first time I've heard of Amarons exploding. Getting a little scared of the one in our CR-V. At least that one is a small battery, so maybe it'll just make a small explosion

    Yes and no.

The first time I charged the battery, I left it for close to three days. Since naka Bluetooth yung charger, I was able to monitor the progress from inside the house. Nung 14.61V na at less than 400mA nalang charging current, I turned it off.

I turn on the charger roughly once a week since. This time, topping off only takes a few hours nalang.

So to answer your question, yes I leave it clamped on but I turn it off remotely once the charging voltage reaches 14.6V and the charging current below half an Amp. This is to reduce the chances of gassing.

    i wonder,
was the engine running when it happened?
was the battery being charged when it happened?
if 12 am, my guess is, everyone, including the battery, was asleep. so why did it explode?...
'buti na lang, the battery clamp was there. debris could have traveled farther and hit something else...

parang yung mga air crash investigation...
a little spark brought down the entire giant airliner...

Im not sure I have to chat with the owner to confirm. But seems like a short circuit inside (plate accidentally touch each other) or by accident outside (positive and negative touch) that could cause that kind of explosion.

Kahit sealed SMF or MF may vents naman lahat ng car batteries doc. IIRC Amaron has 2. Yung mga UPS batteries lang ang walang vents so they were designed to handle the gassing.

We know the batteries have been leaking. Is it possible that low fluid level caused the short circuit when starting?

Actually madami ng cases ng sumasabog. Mostly nakikita during starting daw bigla nalang kaboom.
