Mura lang naman ito, first time to buy a car battery charger. If ever masira will consider buying yung pricey na mas matibay tibay na.

Still thank you sa suggestion [emoji16]

more like an upgrade po.. the charger design is good naman.. its just the stock caps in DC output needs to be replaced with a good one for better performance.

or don't leave the charger unsupervised.

did the friend mention how much it cost him to replace them caps?

    and yes,
    some caps do last long.
it's a gamble, what the buyer gets in his purchase.

when he plugged the charger, he heard a pop sound then the charger went dead.. upon inspection, main cap in the DC output popped.

i replaced the caps.. bought at an electronic shop for 80 petot.. i forgot the brand but its a known brand.. given the same ratings, the new caps are larger compared to the stock caps installed in the charger.

you can really see that the caps are made up to spec and quality materials.. not like the stock caps installed in the device

    perusing lazada,
i saw a similar-looking charger as the yellow one here.
    it costs 399 bucks.

Mas mahal na nga shorter warranty pa.. back to amaron

amaron stock batt on my indian suzuki. i always like the translucent cases, easy to see the electrolyte levels. removable caps

and it's strong. 620cca measured. rating is 370cca

always hooked up to a float charger. it's probably gonna last a long time

Finally got to replace my Amaron 115D31L. It lasted 5 years and a week.

Trying out a different brand this time.... Mega Force 95D31L.

Relatively an unknown brand, but I think everything else is better than Motolite. lol

look for the sticker that says "P.B.I.". that's philippine batteries inc. i.e. Motolite made in their indonesian factory

i was also looking for motolite alternatives so i got the megaforce. i didn't know at that time that it was also a motolite

Ito ung recommended ni H&B nung nag-inquire ako..with 2 years warranty! Pero Quantum 65D31L (12mos warranty) kinuha ko..just want to try other brands. Varta (12mos) na kasi nakakabit sa biyos..still in action for 1.6 years.

Your batt tester info looks good. Is it linked to app?

Can you share the brand and model and is it available sa lazada? TIA

haha but they're good enough for non-pro use. i compared to the casa's Midtronics and the results were close enough

Thanks. Good sharing on battery tester for non-pro [emoji16]

I used Amaron EFB before but shifted to Panasonic and Varta EFB.

Panasonic at 2yrs 2 months now installed on Subaru with I-stop and still at 99% tested at casa.

Varta is relatively new at 8 months from previous Amaron installed on Mazda with i-stop that lasted 18 months. Will see how this EFB battery perform.
