Amaron Flo lasted "only" 23 months this time. Medyo disappointed ako. Went back to Motolite muna.
That's odd. All my Amarons last me years- almost 5+. Hi flo din.
Kaya ko lang ni-rereplace is may mild signs na of swelling sa case, usually around mga 5th year onwards (pero malakas pa mag start). Some of them are in "garage queens" that don't get much mileage, and the ones in constant use, mostly short trips of 8km or less per trip.
Yung isa, wala pang swelling, and malakas pa mag start, but nung kinabitan ng battery tester, lumabas na replace na so pinalitan ko rin- around mga 5 yrs old plus din siya.
Bihira ako gumamit ng trickle charger/maintainer.
Actually. may feeling ako kaya umabot ng mga 7-8 yrs sila if sagarin ko, but why do that?
Note: I don't own a battery business.
i was also surprised because my first Amaron battery lasted 3 years before showing signs of failing.
Battery tester showed 11.+volts...after jumpstarting it, went straight to the battery shop. Tried to start again unaided pero ayaw talaga. Motolite Gold NS60 cost P6,200. Didn't bother checking price of new Amaron.
I've been reading more about Amaron not lasting like they used to. I remember before that you only get to pick between Hi-Life and Go. Now, Hi-Life has been replaced likely by Pro and the Go is the entry-level tier that costs as much as the Hi-Life back in the day.
The Amaron Hi-Life in my old vehicle lasted 5 years and 1 month (2018-2023). When it died, I wasn't sure if I should replace it with the Go because the Pro was way more expensive than I was prepared to shell out. So I went a different route and bought the competition, Mega Force. Sold the vehicle after about a year.
Now, when the OEM battery died in my 2024 Innova 2.8 early this year, I've completely skipped Amaron because of the ridiculous price and got me a Mega Force Plus (130D31L/3SM) for under 6k (including buy-back).
Already tried Panasonic, Motolite, Yuasa.
Recently, I am oboserving Amaron Pro DIN100, sakit din sa bulsa yung presyo niya.
I'm currently using ultra plus from motolite. It's been quite the revelation. According to its specs , I should've replaced it a year ago pa. hehe
It was a replacement for the amaron w/c served me and my car for a good while. I Bought the ultra plus because of budget constraints back then. I'm just waiting for it to show initial signs of weariness before, maybe, going back to amaron...even though I've read and heard that the quality of their batts aren't as good as it was before.

Totoo ba na mas mahahaba ang buhay ng mga amaron na kulay green dati kaysa sa mga bagong amaron na light green ngayon??
I think the quality correlates with the tier.
GO - Entry
FLO - Mid
PRO - Premium
There are other models like the JADE (mostly DIN-only), and DURO (Start/Stop vehicles).
