We have a Motolite Gold in our GS. 13 months pa lang 77% na lang state of health. In the mean time, my turning 9 year old Navara has only had its 2nd GS battery replacement last November. Try mo GS bro. Mura pa.

For sure the plate quality is different sa 21-months and 24-months warranty na models, but is the price difference worth it?

The price difference pertains to the RC (reserved current), its the number of minutes the battery can last with no charging, as in the alternator conking out on you. Thats the case when the battery is just discharging battery and risk dying out on you

If your automobile is petrol, the engine will stop.

For diesel only the entertainment system and the aircon blower that will drain the battery

Naturally, the higher the RC the more expensive is the battery.

When buying a MF battery as them when was the battery manufactured?

How long will it last without charging, RC?

How long is the warranty period?

    frm google..

In Japan, battery failure is the largest complaint among new car owners. The average car is only driven 13 km (8 miles) per day and mostly in a congested city. As a result, the batteries will never get fully charged and sulfation occurs. The batteries in Japanese cars are small and only provide enough power to crank the engine and perform some rudimentary functions. North America may be shielded from these battery problems, in part because of long distance driving.*

sometimes, it is not so much the build quality of the battery, as it is the manner by which we abuse the battery thru our "driving habits".

    i have this formula.
months warranty divided by cost = months of service per peso of cost. the bigger the figure, the more advantageous to the customer. the assumption being, anything beyond the warranty period is a bonus.
if one wants to input that beyond-warranty performance, one has to make his own experimentation.
but there is a caveat. when doing the experiment, one may tend to unconsciously change his "battery habits", rendering the experiment, tainted.
    ah well...

Sir, the GS that you were pertaining, is it the GS Yuasa battery?

That GS Yuasa is the battery that came with our SG when we bought. The van is already 2 yrs and 7 months old and it seems that the battery is holding up pretty well although the last reading of the dealership, it was already below normal.

Yes bro. That's the one. GS Yuasa maintenance free. I regularly get 30+ months of service from GS in my daily driver. Best of all it is cheap too.

On my experience with the company's Innova and Avanza cars (diesel and gas respectively), the stock GS battery did good as well. Sulit indeed imho.

Such as parked with the radio on often? Multiple start-stops (engine off) and short drives?

Do you also do a lot of night time driving vinj?

Aside from storage baka matagal sa storage bago nabenta. I think that is also what happened with my last Motolite.

Yung rounded corners lang ng plates ng Motolite ang di ko makalimutan. They opened it up and compared it to other brands and the Motolite was the only one with rounded corners on the plates.
