Mike, naghanap na ako, wala hehe... pero baka sa friend ni wax pwede pa fabricate.

Balak ko nga dati kuha ako ng Ishin na 90amp tapos fabricate bracket nalang kesa mag 18K na bosch hehe. at least bago

just what theveed said, mas cheaper kung directly bibili sa ishin. you're the guy who has contacts there, so ganun na talaga price ng alternators nila? pwede pa ba matawaran yun?... nakausap ko na neighbor namin & he'll help me remove my alternator and we'll bring it to the nearby electrical shop, depende sa diagnosis, kung talagang malaki na ang sira, i will opt to buy a new one nalang, yung quality alternator like ishin denki para walang problema. Thanks

I had my Safari TD42 alternator repaired .... voltage indicator revealed alternator not charging.

Went to Mang Anselmo (Kagawad) ... location Roosevelt Pantranco infront of the Ice Plant ....

Replaced Diode/rectifier, alternator bearing, carbon brush, stator, .... total cost including labor P4,100 .... it's good as new!

ps > kung papagawa kayo ng alternator ng sasakyan, dalhin nyu nalang yung buong sasakyan, para sila na din mag-kabit at magpapatino ng electrical nyu.. they're the one who put the 120AH bosch alternator on my maxima at yung nag-convert to "built-in IC-regulator" ng alternator ng liteace ko... mura sila manigil, pero parang palit piyesa kayo (kung sira malaki alternator mo, papalitan nila ng refurbished nila, kasama na ang kabit at conversion ng socket/bracket if needed) at pa-sked muna kayo kasi maliit ang place nila...

^paano malalaman kung sira ang bearing ng alternator? maingay ba? apektado ba ang electrical system mo pag sira iyon

Pag sira ang bearing it can cause a wobble that could cause the rotor to scratch/rub the stator. Maliit lang ang clearance in between.

^well there's no obvious wobbling there yet but i find the noise level coming from that area louder than usual. di kaya nawala mga lubrication lang ng mga iyon pagkatapos ko mag pa-engine wash (w/ degreaser)?

Sealed ang bearings ng alternator.

If it sounds like walang lubrication then that becomes a real problem.

A visit to your suking electrical shop is in order.

A stuck up bearing may eat up the portion where it seats.

so you think the increased noise over there is not a bearing problem? i mean there's no metal grinding sound i hear but the noise coming over there has definitely upped my paranoia

What type of sound are you hearing?
Belt noise?
Pulley noise?
Vacuum pump(diesel)?
Carbon brush?

The bearing is still a possible culprit. Since the the bearing is sealed then its weather proof so the engine wash could'nt cause it to fail. But if your bearing is worn out already it will produce an unusual noise and drag, later on it will fail by means of a stuck up. Baka timing lang na napuna mo yung noise when you had an engine wash.

Regarding sa Pregio and same rin sa mga BESTA owners ang alternator ng Kia vans is scary because our besta and pregio before naka three times na palit ng alternator brand new lagi dahil company and hindi masyado gamit binenta ang mileage is 40k plus and that was in 2003 ang delikado is when nasisira ang alternator brakes nadadamay I suggest buy a really good one and sell the van kasi dangerous Casa mismo ng Kia tinangihan at may kilala ako na dati taga Kia sinabi hindi pang Philippine condition ang mga Kia kaya nag warp ang interior ng mga yan kaya when you see a Korean van na tumirik usually sa traffic and summer season
