If some people think in this forum the Hover is a steal at 1-1.150M. Look at this ad.

Kung libre or premyo I go for Wingle, kasi mas mahal.
Pero if it's my money I'll go for Foton Blizzard.

Hi Rockie I am trying to send you a PM, pero puno daw inbox mo, anyway sinubukan mo na bang mag out of town trip with at least 3 friends with all your stuffs loaded? Hindi ba underpowered nung loaded na? Ano na pinakamalayong narating ng CB mo? How about the airconditioning, yung mga passenger ba sa back seat ramdam ang lamig, kaya bang palamigin ang buong cabin, kahit na tanghaling tapat?

    Salamat.

Hi friends, just a brief introduction about me, I am Pierce from Pampanga and I have been to GreatWall North Edsa this afternoon to check out the CoolBear. Just a background about my ownership of cars, I own a 93 Mitsubishi Lancer which I set up for racing, for which I am a member of mitsulancerph, I also owned a 96 Mazda Miata which I was a Miata Club of the Philippines member. Currently, I am selling two of my toys to give way, hopefully, a brandnew vehicle. One a 93 Honda Hatchback which is my daily car and an FJ45 Landcruiser Trail rig. This is not to brag in any way, but just to give you an idea how a car nut I am and my passion for cars. None of the above vehicles remained in stock form for so long. I love restomoding as others say it.

I am definitely not in any way related or owner of any Great Wall car. Here are my “personal” impressions and opinion.

Staff: Very hospitable and accommodating. Lahat sila willing to assist and answer questions. One question I raised “Kung magsara man ang GreatWall, na huwag naman sana, pwede ko bang dalhin sa Toyota for diagnostics? Compatible ba siya with that of Toyota? Kasi kung sakali wala na kayo at nagkaroon ng “check engine” Cool Bear ko, paano na ako?” Sagot nila ay “Magandang katanungan yan sir, we will let you know through our agent”. Yung mga Toyota BB kasi wala silang problem regarding such dahil ang engine nila ay same as the Vios, so pwede dalhin sa Toyota.

Cool Bear : Appearance wise, I love it. Very spacious, bigger than that of Toyota BB. Beautiful in my eyes. Eye catcher.

Mga hindi ko nagustuhan: You are surrounded by cheap plastic. Observe the latch for the seatbelt, mukhang brittle, minsan maiisip mo di kaya mababasag ito upon collision. The manual shift knob, looks cheap also. The rubber moldings that run across the roof from front to back are wavy, maalon, hindi ko alam kung kapag nabilad ito ay tutuwid, matutunaw, o lalong aalon. Usually sa ibang oto kasi this is hard rubber or at times plastic.

    Test Drive:
Superb visibility. Responsive engine, tho I find the CVT better. Good brakes.

Manual Transmission: I do not like the feel ng kambiyo. Pag isasaksak mo sa gears, iba talaga, para bang ang mga mechanisms ay manipis and it makes noise. May kabigatan ang clutch.

    CVT: Smooth shifting transmission.

I find the ride for both a little stiff. Aircondition, full thermostat number III fan, not what I expect ang lamig. Pakiramdam ko, malamang sa tanghaling tapat without tint, medyo mainit, at lalo na para sa mga pasahero sa likuran (Part of the test drive, I requested we be seated at the back).

Visit the nearest Great Wall dealership if you are plain curious, for all you know, my experience and impression might be different from yours.

    Thank you.

Really? I would like to believe you have a very vast experience and have seen them all, if not, most of them, to make such a statement. In my case, I have seen and test drove just one to date.

So far I have experienced the quality of Chery, Chana, Foton, Lifan, Geely, Great Wall, Byd, Jianling, JAC, Dongfeng, FAW.

Malayo pa in terms of Workmanship and materials. Maybe in 8 to 10 years pa.

hi pierce, wasnt able to visit tsikot for a long time. been very busy at work.

if u didnt read my previous post on my coolbear, i mentioned that i usually take it out of town everytime i visit manila (which is every other month). the farthest ive been to were places like tagaytay, subic and clark. and we are always a family of 5. these were usually overnite trips thus the trunk was full of our stuff. wala namang problema whatsoever. aircon is cool. pero the 2 trips i had during summer (i think it was march and may), medyo nahihirapan to compete with the heat of the sun.

1 1/2 years na si coolbear and i still am satisfied with it. wala kahit anomang reklamo.

    Showroom - Great Wall Motors

The Haval H5 is powered by a Kia-sourced CRDI VGT engine similar sa Kia Carens according sa mga owners nito sa China.

ang spec list ay maganda, I specially like the auto headlight. The question is ano kaya ang performance nito, but this is quite popular in eastern europe and russia. Ang fuel system is Delphi, any one knows the durability nito, as in hindi kaya parehas ng D4D at DiD ng toyota at mitsu dati na ang reklamo nila ay scv?

Ang presyo ay 1.15 M medyo naka second thought to try this suv. Another thing, according to some china forum ay palabas na raw ang H6 which is much better than this H5. Sana mag offer ang Great Wall ng one week test drive/review promo, willing ako magtry pag ganito

Added to this is the excellent service from GW North Edsa.
