maganda yung parang scion nila.
But still needs some improvement.

Wait and see muna siguro ako in my opinion, kasi look at Chery dati anlaki laki andaming dealerships mura ang products bumagsak na.
Pati ang Geely nag-pull out, naalala ko prize pa Wheel of Fortune ung Geely eh.
Di katulad ng Chery naka-ilang years sila dito wala man lang New Model na inilabas since nag-launch sila dito sa Pinas.
Last year, 2010, nakabenta pa ng 10,695 units ang Isuzu with only (Crosswind, D-Max at Alterra as body styles) mas mataas pa Isuzu sa Ford and Mazda combined with sales of 9,751 or Nissan and UMC combined na 8,691 units. Kaya gayahin ng mga Chinese brands ang success ng Isuzu in my opinion, kung lagi lang updated yearly ang mga units kahit old body style pa rin mabebenta pa rin basta maporma at high-tech ang toys.
tingin ko inde matutulad ang great wall to the past china brands....kasi great wall has invested a lot of money for an assembly plant here....so it would probably turn out that the after sales support of this brand is really gonna be strong plus why do you think they are confident enough to offer 5 years warranty diba?(afaik 5 years ang warranty ng GW tama ba eggman?)
seems that they are using the hyundai blueprint, 5 years waaranty to prove reliability and durability of their cars, it would indeed be interesting to see how they would further improve on their current line-up.Isang maganda kotse lang yan, and they may get the trust of the public IMHO....
right on bro...sabi nga ni eggman yung hover daw nila is quite a performer in europe hehe....
So far yung nakikita ko lang na successful na Chinese brands are Foton, Great Wall and JAC. May relative nga akong bumili ng JAC Princess FB (yung pinakamaliit nila na truck w/ 1.8L diesel) naattract dahil sa price at freebies ayun, laging nasisira, mahina ang aircon, mahina ang engine, at kumakalawang na...Foton seems to be more reliable since three government agencies (PCSO, MMDA and BJMP) have already bought huge volumes of different vehicles from them. Great Wall naman, I'm seeing a growing number of Coolbears, Cowry's and Hovers on the streets.
Are you sure about it? kasi I've read way before that they have already coordinated with the partner and DTI regarding the investment eh...they even had a MOA signing....
edit*: I saw a HAVAL M2 kanina eye catching talaga sya hehehe...its like a beefed up mini cooper...hehe...alright maybe i'm exaggerating a bit...but it really can make you take that 2nd look...

haha planning stage daw eh nakapag assemble na ng units yung great wall
HAHAHA Talaga? Nasaan ang planta? Nasa utak mo?
Planning to build pa lang January 2011, February may planta na?
Great Wall Motor Co Ltd, plans to team up with Philippines-based Statemotor Corp to build an automobile plant, which will cost US$8.06 million, in the Philippines, said Cristino L. Panlilio, managing head of the Philippine Board of Investments or BOI. hktdc.com, Jan 2011
Just wanna share my experience with a Chery brand car. I don't know if this is the proper forum. But my review may help someone considering buying a chery car.
I spent 5 days last week driving a chery QQ. Only 3000+ km on the odometer. I was visiting cebu and a friend lent me this car to use around the city. It was apple green.
I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun I had with it. Being very small, apple green, and quite uncommon, I felt like I was distinguished from every other average car on the road. I don't know if this makes sense -- but it was also refreshing, I did not feel any pressure from other cars. "Yes, it's a chery, i know, but it's fun." I also found the transmission control unique and enjoyed the fact that you can just plug a USB storage device into the headunit and play mp3s right away.
In terms of performance, it is really slow and weak. It was almost unable to get up the ramp from the Ayala mall basement parking. I had to turn the a/c off and hold my breath (not sure if that helped). According to a friend riding with me, the girls in a 90s model Pajero behind us were laughing at us. Hehe Fun.
I can tell that reliability is also bad. It was still a pretty new car but it would already rattle like a poorly serviced 15 year old corolla.
Would I buy one? Maybe. As a toy.
