I've spent an ample amount of time inspecting the Wingle, Cowry, Haval M2
and particularly the Hover H3
the hover H3 that was displayed in MIAS already has the new 2.5 liter commonrail turbo intercooler engine that pumps out 300nm of torque as opposed to the 2.8liter engine before...and guess what...ITS ALREADY ASSEMBLED HERE at the las pinas facility according to the people around the booth....
the features were quite nice a reverse cam and DVD HU, sunroof and some other goodies that you wouldn't find in a car that is priced as low as the hover....
also, on all of the china cars that was present in the show, I can say that Great Wall is well above in terms of build quality compared to the other china brands....I compared the parts and materials used in the car...the texture of the plastics and metals that was used in the engine, interior and exterior parts...and the over all feel...and it was quite top notch and up par with the japanese counterparts believe it or not...
But Im not sure about the engine performance and ride comfort....but if they are confident to announce that their commonrail engine has some Bosch artistry on it then a test drive is what I need...
Overall, if ever anyone is already decided to go chinese in their next car purchase, they should probably consider Great wall.....because aftersales, maintenance and parts availability wise I think its already reliable considering the units are CKD and knowing that filipinos assembled it... also it somewhat gives you a sense of nationalistic pride because you somewhat helped the local economy on purchasing it....plus you can crossout the QC issues that is prevalent in chinese assembled units...
