July 29th, 2024 01:13 PM #63Kung may 1.5M ako pang crossover hybrid, Corolla Cross G. Smaller manageable size.
Spare tire. Check
Traditional dash and guage cluster. Check
12V batt. normally under the hood. Check
Dashcam. Check
OT. Wala palang belt ang ECVT ng CC hybrid? Parang clutch ang gears lang, parang hindi din planetary. Kahit anong nood ko sa YT hindi ko makuha paano nag change gear ratios.

July 29th, 2024 01:46 PM #64i think because EV, PHEV and HEV need as much space for the battery. Range is more useful than a spare/donut tire.
The chances of a blowout on a brand new car with brand new tires is very rare, the car is not a full 4wd, you wouldn't bring the car to rough off roads where the chances of a tire blowout is possible. A TPMS and tire repair/inflation kit is enough for urban dwellings and light out of town incursions. You could always buy a donut tire and place it in the trunk when you do long road trips.
Now for cars like a Jeep Wrangler, LR Defender or Land Cruiser then its a different story.

road side assistance... may fine print yung policy... tinuro lang din sa akin ng kabataan.
the tire that blew up in 1997 was less than 500 pesos. hahaha
I basically just use the same tire that came with the car when it went out from the dealership.

I agree with that. My mindset is that a tire is the only part of the car that's in contact with the ground!
What will you do with the stock tires? The tires are more than 3 years old only together with the new car.
Honestly, it's my fault. I drove the car for a long distance with what was allegedly under-inflated tires at high speeds on the TPLEX road.
As I mentioned in one of the tire threads, it's part of our checklist to add some air during our stops, but sometimes sh!t happens. Sadly, this car doesn't come with TPMS.

July 29th, 2024 04:01 PM #69as an aside,
yesterday, after some time, i drove the wigo.
napaka-bigat nang manibela.
driving over to the tyre inflator corner, i found out that i had only 17 psi... inflating it to 33, made the manibela lighter.
heh heh.

Iniisip ko lang para syang escalator. Kung sabayan mo sya same direction bibilis ka. If kontra direction then babagal ka or hihinto or aatras. If stay ka lang sasabay ka sa speed ng escalator. Complicated but brilliant.
Although at hiway speeds mas lamang ang Honda dahil direct drive ang engine to wheels.
Naalala ko iyong 2013 SJ Forester ng relative namin. FMC change siya ng time na nakuha sa casa. ...
