So technically you can charge it's battery without ever plugging it in but just from the ICE.
Also, size wise this SL6 is bigger than the RAV4 and CR-V.
The soon to be released Sealion 7 in other markets is purely EV lang pala.

I don't think the Japanese can match the pricing of BYD right now. The X-trail e-power's hybrid contemporaries from Japan are all ABOVE 2M (RAV4, CX-60, CR-V, Outlander). If, by some miracle, Nissan gets to price this at 1.7M, I highly doubt it will be as full-featured as the SL6.
However, if the Xtrail gets to be in the 1.6M range and comes with a spare tire, then I would certainly choose the Nissan over the BYD, even if the features list isn't as long. I would certainly prefer a spare tire over the likes of a sunroof or a rotating infotainment system or a subwoofer.
But, let's be realistic, Nissan will price the next Kicks e-power in the 1.4M to 1.6M range and the Xtrail will be a price segment higher.

I woud prefer if Nissan removes some of the bells and whistles that are, IMHO, too distracting.
I would remove speed limiters, lane assist, and other ADAS features save for adaptive cruise control. I would even remove that indicator that lights up in the side mirrors (side traffic detection ba yun?). I would even prefer a third party TPMS system to a pre-installed one.
On the speed door locking sensors, seatbelt detection sensors, and rain sensing wipers, a 50-50 for me. Leather seats? Another 50-50 proposition for me.
Adaptive cruise control, perhaps. Simple cruise control is enough more usable. But even without cruise control, it is okay for me already.
I agree that a sunroof/moonroof is not necessary. So is a subwoofer and even speakers so long as installing a third party system is allowed and will not void the warranty.
Rotating monitor, definitely out. How many times will one rotate this anyway?
People convincing themselves that chinese cars are good ... yet they won't use china branded phones and use iPhone and Samsung ...
many countries would die if they do not use china-made products.
we have forgotten how to manufacture...
highs.
This is what I find baffling with the BYD. They have the best automotive R&D in this part of the world and the result of that is cramming all manners of tech and features into the car.
And yet they fail to include a spare tire. Buti sana kung run-flat yung tires eh hindi naman.
It seems eto na ang trend ng mga car manufacturers. Look at the Lexus RZ, either they forgot the spare tire in the design phase, or talagang sadyang wala ng spare tire. Yes, a donut spare tire will come with the car, but nakapatong lang sa rear trunk taking up precious space.

in my opinion,
riders who do trips away from civilization, probably have tyre repair means.
if tube tyres, some 'cyclers bring spare tubes in collapsed state with them, along with a tyre inflator and other basic tools. also, it's not that difficult to patch tubes. we used to do it with our bicycles, back when we were kids.
kung tubeless... there's the somewhat-controversial tyre plug, and the more-difficult tyre patch. but i do not know if the tyre bead seal is easy to assume in 'cycle tyres, using hand tools...
but for city 'cycling, they just walk the flattened 'cycle to the nearest tyre fixit shop just around the proverbial corner, where they can take a cold soda while the shop guy does the dirty job of patching for them.
about the only regular scene i see where the 'cycle has spare tyre about them, is when they are delivering said tyres...
heh heh.

^exactly...
personally, I always carry a tyre inflator (and a jump starter) when I leave Metro Manila
My father in law insists that I also carry a tire repair kit
none of my vehicles has a TPMS - bothered ako kapag di pantay yung pressure. hehehe - so just decided to remove them.
kaya spare tyre is not that big of a deal for me. never seen my car's spare (pero I know its rotated every PMS)
good popinlo!
... aren't most motorcycles capable of kick-start? back in the day, even heavy harleys were kick-start...
seriously,
unless the big head of the nail is easily visible where the large nail seppuku'd the tyre,
the site of the puncture is sometimes difficult to find, without removing the wheel and subjecting it to that hi-tech invention called horizontal half-drum filled with water...
if and when i buy a kicks e-power,
the first accessory i will buy would be a donut tyre.
then i'd contract my carpientier to make a stylish wooden enclosure of sorts for it, to fit the rear compartment.

I can echo the concern about cars being without a spare tire.
What if you experience a blowout or a sidewall cut on your tire?
In those cases, repair kits and tire inflators become useless.
Happened to me at TPLEX only few months ago. Kahit doughnut lang yung spare tire ay nakarating naman ako sa nearest available tire shop for replacement.
i have had three episodes of large rips in my tyres, making these refined-extracts-of-crude-oil, totally useless.
buti na lang, i had a serviceable spare tyre with me.
pasak method is fine, but only when you see where to pasak it, and you can bend down enough to espy and manipulate it. alas, pasak is useless if the tyre bead has separated from the rim/mag; you won't be able to re-inflate the tyre.
heh heh.
