Eto yung exploded view of similar engine, i guess this is VGT version. Yung pipe nagcross i think is an oil pipe return for the oil cooler so hindi eto yung EGR pipe.

^ Vacuum gauge is a very common tool, i think sa wastegate actuator yun ginagamit. Sa compressor side ng turbo may built-in boost sensor kaya possible na yung smoke ay due to overfuelling/ wrong a/f mix. Walang MIL sa dash when it happened?

Just a thought of sharing na rin baka may maputulan ulit ng belt at malayo sa casa, eto yung belt size:

    6PK 1517 for main serpentine
    4PK 773 for AC compressor

Useful info if there are moderators around kindly pin this post. We already purchased our 3rd unit of Spin let see if any one of them encounters the turbo leak or any more broken fanbelts.

Have it scanned or use stand-alone monitor.

My 2nd scanguage II will arrive soon, will mount to mid-dash since LS doesnt have fuel computer. This is a better optioni for CRD engines, i think.

For those with petrol Spins, what RON fuel do you use? Service guy at Chevy Balintawak told me to use 91 RON; manual says 95 RON is recommended.

And I notice a fair amount of break dust on the front wheels. Is this normal?

    Thanks!

We use xtra unleaded 93, the manual says minimum is 91, recommended is 95. For your peace of mind, use 95.

According to some other owner normal yan, kasi nga disk break sa harapan and drum break sa likod.

    Thanks, BratPAQ!

I actually use 95, as recommended in the manual. Thing is, when i asked the service advisor when I got my unit, ang specific instruction niya is to use 91 RON and not 95 RON. Inulit ko pa ang tanong, and he insisted na 91 lang, not 95. Better to rely on the manual naman siguro.

About brake dust.

Question to those that have the Spin AT variant. How was your experience? Hindi ba hirap ang Spin AT paakyat?

    Salamat po.

Using LTZ AT, 8 including the driver, went up to kennon road. Kahit overtaking sa MacArthur Highway, I'm surprised I can overtake like that with a 1.5 engine fully loaded.

Thanks, BratPAQ. Now I can attest to that. I was able to test drive a Spin AT last Saturday sa Pasig. I was with my wife & 2 kids, plus the Chevy SA. What's your average FC pala? City, HW & mixed.
