Hi! Newbie here. I am currently torn between Spin & Ertiga. To make my decision making easier, may I ask for your views/inputs, please. I know there are things that are subjective but for me they still count. Please do share why you choose Spin over the other (if you did consider the other). To make it fair, I also posted the same in the Ertiga thread. Thank you!

Simple lang, the 1.3 Turbo diesel engine.

Hi Guys,

Plano po namin bumili ng Spin 1.5L LTZ At Gas. Ano po comment nyo sa fuel consumption? And ayos lang ba ang Chevy Spin? Wala naman po bang pagsisisi? Gusto ko po sana i test drive para malaman din hatak pero wala daw silang test drive available sa dealer na pinuntahan ko. Thanks mga ka tsikot!

LTZ AT gas samin, nabili nung June. Paguwi ko ng Pinas last August, 4km/l FC...ang bigat ata ng paa ni misis hehe pero na-realized ko ibang level na ng traffic sa Manila. Paghatid sa umaga from tejeron to Paco school 1-3 gears lang ata nagagamit sa sobrang trapik. Napataas ko ng konti nung ako nag-drive pero hanggang 6km/l lang.

Then umuwi kami province, city-highway FC nasa 10-11km/l. Hinde sya gano kalakas humatak pero mabilis naman maabot ang 100kph, top speed attained 120kph. I think kaya pa bumilis kaso hinde ko try kasi buong family sakay ko. IMO, maganda/comfy suspension nya.

Nailusong ko na rin sa baha yun abot sa flooring nya hehe mas mataas sya ng konti sa kotse.

Maraming pwede maisakay sa Spin, 1 time sinakay ni misis buong angkan nya pauwi Laguna, 7 adults + 4 children, hinde naman daw sumayad ang suspension or something.

Pagsisisi? Siguro yung matagal na dating ng parts, but this is understandable kasi bago sya.

I did 16.5 km/L on Spin LS M/T 1.3 Tcdi. That was good considering that it was taffic from Quirino goin to skyway and Friday everywhere traffic plus the road reblocking at Andaya hiway. Measured by manual filling at Quirino then re-filling.. Total distance 394kms, diesel used 23.84 litres..

All i can say is performance is good. Lag is noticeable with wastegate turbocharger but once it kicks, speed could go up easily.. Kaya makipag sabayan sa Navara on hiway..

PMed you the contact. From what i've heard, LS lang dumating November or Dec pa yung LTZ. I grabbed the LS since kadarating lang at may kumukuha na over the phone, nataon naman na nag wwindow shopping ako kaya priority nila walk-in clients.

I'L double check parang may ABS/EBD, dual airbags, and seatbelt reminder na yung new LS.. Nag aalarm kasi when unstrapped sa seats and may airbag logo sa passenger side. Motor of ABS i've yet to see. Unahin ko yung EGR blanking pero hindi ko din makita yung EGR valve, crancase return lang so OCC muna siguro.



Fire extinguisher ang first mod ko, buti may provision sa FE straps.. hehe. Also, got to cover those safeguard logos pag may time.

Anung oil yan sir? Approx 4 litres lang ang engine oil, p2k lang ang pinaka mahal fully synth oil. Bka mali ng quote, pang 2.8 liter engine yung na quote sayo

alam ko nga 3k++ lang fully synth sa malls eh. pero tumawag ung sa CASA for the PMS sabi un ung price I doubt nagkamali sila ng quote.

anybody here that had their Spin undergo the 5k PMS? how much did it cost and what oil was used?

Chevy should be true to what they're boasting if they want to survive with the competition. Better complain the stealership to GM if you're suspecting overcharging. Chevy Hotline 846 - CHEV (846 - 2438)

ang sabi samen first PMS is 5000 km or 4 months whichever comes first.

if its 10,000 km for Php 7000 then it would be reasonable naman.

nagtanong ako sa chevy c-5 Php 6,9++ daw ung fully synthetic tas wala daw mineral lang. tas 5 liters daw na langis ang kelangan, tama ba?

Bro, lipat ka na lang sa ibang branch. Tsaka tama na rin siguro na fully synthetic ang ilagay since 6 months or 10k kms ang interval. Actually, nagtanong pa nga ako sa gh kung pwede ko dalhin ng 5k/3months para mgchange ng oil filter pero sabi nila, sabay sabay yun sa 10k/6months. Sali ka sa spin group sa fb. Dun mo malalaman mga experiences namin sa spin. ;)

Haayyy...out of the blue biglang may umingay sa Spin LTZ (4mo old) namin nung binuksan ang rear A/C. It turned out sira daw ang fan motor. Update kami ng casa before end of business today kung may available na piyesa. At inquire pa nila kung pasok daw to sa warranty claim...wtf? ano pwedeng maging basehan para hindi sya under warranty? Salamat!

Anyone here who experienced same problem?

magandang araw po. ang tamang pa p.m.s. ng spin ay 10,000 mor six months which ever comes first po. if my problem po kayo sa service why don't you try sa chevrolet shaw blvd. hindi po sila over charge at maayos sila mag trabaho. salamat.

magandang araw po .pag dating sa consumption ng gasoline matipid po ang spin, almost nag 19km per liter po ang spin. F.Y.I. po my promo po ang chevrolet shaw blvd. sa SPIN LTZ GAS baka interesado kayo, 98,000 nalng po ang d.p. all-in na po.
