Heto na kinakatakot ko dahil chevy ang binili namin...antagal ng spare parts...hay, sabi ng casa hintayin pa raw yung advise ng indonesia kung meron silang stock ng fan motor. Hindi maka-commit kung kelan magkakaroon, sabi nila baka abutin ng 1 month...hayyy...

ok sana ang spin, kung everyday car at solo lang, matipid kase diesel at 1.3 lang.. ang downside dito parts pag nasira na 1 month waiting sa parts... not good for my new work na everyday may-dala car.. sayang... mabenta sana ito kung reliable ang parts, or kung mabilis man lang ang parts dumating. hehehe =)

I agree thats why were looking for other options instead of getting our 3rd unit. Same experience with both units not having parts available. I think Covenant should fix this problem and not just pass it on to the dealers.

I had a one time experience with Chev on "parts issue". It took them 27 days to fix my unit. Other parts from my unit also broke down but they replaced the other parts in just one day. All parts replace were under warranty. Its not bad if Covenant could improve on this.

Did a fuel run of my LTZ gas.
All figures are based on the onboard display.
At an average of 65km/hr, with rpm at 1500, fuel consumption is 23km/l.
This is pure highway run.
Did it twice.
Same result.

Had a chance to do one more fuel test run.
75km/hr, fuel consumption is 22.3km/l.
Pure highway, all readings from onboard display.

unit is just 4 months old (around 5k odometer reading), already brought it service center twice, but they cant find any problem. have anyone experienced this? thanks

Engine is equipped with dpf. The manuel says, when the limit is reached, the dpf should initiate burn by injecting fuel. Burn/reburn cycles is manually controlled, it says you need to run at 2k rpm at a certain duration to complete burn cycle, damage on dpf and excessive smoke/ hi fuel consumption could result if cycle is interrupted.. Read the manual for the details,casa people are sometimes useless..

I think that is normal during the cycle.. Baka hindi natapos.. Try mo drive ng expressway.. Kung tama yung manual, that would be 30-40kms drive kung 2k rpm(lesser if at lower gear idk kung pwede sa idle).. May iilaw sa dash dpf reburn symbol, let it at 2krpm until the dpf light goes off..

di umiilaw yung nasa dash. anyway 4 times ko n nadala s casa ang unit. yung last n dalhin ko, umamin sila n may problem nga ang spin ls (pang 3rd or 4th n ako nagreklamo) last n ginawa nila is reprogramming ng EGR. nawala cya for a week, but yesterday bumalik uli.

^ Balitaan mo kami sir kung ano naging findings. Possible nga computer mapping of DPF, nag iinject ng fuel kahit hindi kelangan. Hows your FC BTW?

In my future mod I would want to delete that PDF and re-program ecu not to dump fuel. I think these emission controls are potential source of issues over time just like in any diesels.

Im still looking for the EGR hoping i could block it pero parang built in sa heat sheild ng turbo at DPF (encircled red). For the Crancase ventilation oil-catch-can mod I'm suspecting this tube(encircled green) but why use a flex conduit?
