Kung pang-farm o ano man klaseng pang-harabas, Dmax pa rin talaga pinaka-matibay

Guys, let's respect each other's preference. If he or she wants to buy a 4x4 pick up, wala tayong magagawa kung gusto niya. Kanya kanyang preference yan. Hindi dahil nagmamacho-machohan siya. There are some who want to buy 4x4 pick ups because they need the extra power of 4x4 pick up's engine (most carmakers have stronger and more powerful engines installed on their 4x4 pick ups) and they are anticipating rough roads that they might traverse.

In our case, why we need a 4x4 pick up because my mom buys plants for our garden in the house, it can be put in the cargo bed. If a part of our house will be renovated, the pick up will be used to haul construction materials like cement, pvc pipes, and plywood. And there is the occasional visit to our fishpond and farm in Pangasinan, where we will be traversing 2.5 kms of rough road. There's what you call the Carryboy Roller Lid. Kung matangkad ang ilalagay sa cargo area, you can open the roller lid. If mga bag, you can close it and lock it also.

To each on his or her own guys. Just respect each other's preferences.

    Works for me.

Or, if you "need" a 4x4 pick to drive big loads up to farms on muddy roads, then this:

915k, four-door, AC, dropside, 4x4. 2.7 liter. Also available in 4x4 FB style.

Then with the 700k remaining, get a Jimny, just for the hell of it... or a Honda Jazz.

Or, if you don't need to go off-road at all... 1.6m? four Hyundai Eons.

Pero if im going to use it for dirty works like small scale hauling DIY construction. For the sake of pickup topic, I'd buy a second hand na pick-up like fuego or hi-lux. kahinayang magasgasan eh.

but in reality mas may sense L300FB or yung KCseries like posted above, madadala mo pa ang mga workers mo di pa mababasa pati mga gamit mo.

yes off topic if practicality ang nasa utak ng lahat ng tao sa buong mundo, there will be peace on earth and we all be driving the simplest and most practical vehicle.... which is a good topic to have (do we have a thread about this here sa tsikot?)

so ano ginawa namin, binilhan namin ng bed cover, wala naman malagay, tapos you have to crawl para ma-reach yun dulo for other things.

mas ok pa bumili ng adventure na walang third and 2nd row seats, kung ganito function, or probably yun mga nissan urvan kung nahihiya ka mag-drive ng mga FB type of vehicles

    Hehe... di naman ganyan.

Admittedly, the Colorado is a nice-looking vehicle... it's coming with good engines, and the fully-loaded one at 1.6m is bound to be a great truck.

But saying that you're buying a 4x4 pick-up in this market at that price for practical reasons is missing the point of what is practical. A 4x4 fully-loaded pick-up is not a work vehicle. It's a plaything that can haul some load if needed, but it's meant to be a recreational vehicle. That's why it wears expensive off-road tires. It's meant to be a luxury vehicle, too. That's why it comes with leather and toys.

If you're buying a working truck, any 4x2 pick-up with a rear LSD and knobby tires will do fine. You're really buying the 4x4 because:
    1. It's a nicer truck.
    2. You've got the money.

Wag na mag-justify. Basta, yun. Kami, di naman bumili ng 4x4 CR-V for any practical reasons. Basta, mas maganda sa 2.0, at kasya sa budget. Go na go. (Personally, I still wanted the 4x2 2.0...)

nag tingin na din ako nun Kia 2700 ng double cab with dropside... for less than 1M... OK din sya... isa pang ina-antay ko eh yun FOTON THUNDER pick-up... pag na test drive ko na yun... then saka ako mag decide kung ano bibilin

Popcorn mode still, am not much of a truck guy, city dweller kasi.

Akin lang i think the Colorado is more on the haciendero type of people. City to province sort, and vise versa, but if sa city lang sya gagamitin, syang lang. Bka madalas k p makabanga.

Baha? Buy an amphibian, if i had an expensive 4x2 or 4x4, di ko lulusong yun just to prove a point.

Thou, If i had some money to throw away, id buy an evo =p

Saw a new colorado along Buendia this morning. Im still on the fence if she's gorgeous or not. I like the front but not the rear. But one thing's for sure she's big! It dwarfed the Strada along side it.

GM designer did not bother the interior. Dashboard looks dull, cheap tupper ware plastics & poor layout-quality build. Same with the new plasticky CRV 2013 dashboard. Far from the Japs Nav, Hi-lux & Strada interior. Why not adopt the new trend soft-leatherd feel dashboard of the premium Euro brand & even ASX & XV.

Have to see this one myself if the plastic thingy are cheap looking. Siguro sa Ranger na lang talaga ako. Ito lang naman dalawa ang pinagpipilian ko.

The interior is miles apart from the ranger. Too bland, all you have is the circular lay-out of the controls of the AC. And only your left thumb will be kept busy 'coz theres no buttons on the right side of the steering wheel.

Based on the Colorado english brochure that I found at Chevy Thailand's website, TCCCI omitted not 5 but 7 brake safety features, and also the cruise control. The Thai Colorado LTZ has cruise control also. Here is the link to the brochure:

Fairly enough, I like the design layout of the dash than the ranger but if it looks too much plastic medyo pangit tingnan, magmukhang cheap. Yung all new dmax ganyan din ang design, upgraded nga lang kasi 7 1n. ang display nya at may nav system. pinalitan lang ang nasa colorado ngayon. GM at isuzu ay sharing. So definitely sa ranger na ako.

Now's the good time for TCCCI to show the wading capabilities of the Colorado. They've marketed it in their brochure as having a wading capability of 800 mm like the new Ford Ranger
