Hi everyone, a relative of mine is planning to buy this pickup particularly the 4x4. hauling and trailing stuff for his farm. discussed on this thread the colorado is stripped of traction control and the likes... i found in the chevy site. Chevrolet Philippines - Interior bottom text that it has the aforementioned features.
    Is this true?

Got my 4x2 Manual 2.5L Colorado just over a month ago, logged 2700+ kms already. Averaging 11-12 km/liter, mostly city driving. Got slightly better mileage when I went to Baguio. Out of town almost every weekend (mostly Cavite and Batangas).

    Dealer: Chevy Pasig
Freebies: DVD with GPS (touchscreen), back up camera, bedliner, step board, Platinum tint, seat covers.
    Added: Headrest monitors.

Turbo kicks in above 2000rpm. 1st gear is pretty short, took some getting used to, but didn't fail to power the truck some really steep slopes, even when downshifting from 2nd. There must be some sort of descent assist because it will hardly accelerate going downhill sometimes. Front suspension is comparable to a sedan, better than some, but the rear can be harsh (but it's a pick up!!).

Back seats aren't the most comfy, but passengers haven't complained - pretty substantial legroom back there, even with the driver seat adjusted for tall drivers.
Steering wheel is just right, not too small not too large. I have a peeve with the gear shifting though, shifting requires a bit of travel, though not as long as my VW Kombi!

Sound system is decent, though the stage is not that clear, given the speakers on both the dash and doors. Indoor light could be brighter, will need to install some foot lights.

Overall, very happy with the performance. Bang for your buck pickup!

a tuner from thailand has recently achieved this dyno figures (as shown below) on a 2.5L colorado. this pickup truck has lot's of hidden power not made available to the consumer for obvious reasons. later (as claimed by the tuner in his post), the final tune hit 220whp (wheel horsepower) * 530Nm of torque

i got the dyno sheet in a tuning forum which he made available for download and i posted it here as shown above. to tuners, tuning it stock without other mods is the norm in the tuning world. the tuner did not mention any other mods except ecu hacking (correct term is ecu remapping). we can just say that that's the evidence (dyno sheet) he can present the potential so far hidden on this pickup truck.

If I may ask, is there a possibility that an A/T 4x2 version of this pickup will be available here? TIA

    Colorado faster. Ranger handles better.

Beyond that, it's a matter of taste.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

The Colorado's steering is slower, and the suspension setting is not quite as good. It's not bad... very secure and stable, but the Ranger has better balance and steering.

How would you know if the dealer is giving you the old 2.8 engine or the new one? (just by inspecting the vehicle)

img_20130501_135909.jpgimg_20130501_135909.jpg mga masters pa share lang po ng pick up ko, My honest opinion sa colorado

    1. Limited ang mods sa lift up especially sa front. camber nya little adjustments lang di kinaya ang 2inches na lift up ng ironman
    2. not good sa acceleration, dapat hatakin mo mga 2,500-3,000 rpm para lumabas power ya, at sobrang delayed ang response.

    un lang po
    salamat
