yung mazda at ford, Mismo!
Has anyone driven the new Colorado na manual transmission? ... I am considering the trailblazer na M/T and since they are almost the same ... kuha sana ako ng info from the Colorado pips?
Na-test drive ko yung Colorado M/T last weekend at C5 traffic and the clutch is lighter compared to my E46 316i (my daily drive) which has a deep and heavy clutch. Was in traffic for around 20 minutes and hindi naman nanakit tuhod ko hehe.
Masyadong na-baby na ako ng a/t kaya Im worried about yung clutch
any Colorado owners here selling their stoc 18" wheels & tires or bigger?
i am thinking of putting them on my Trailblazer to replace my stock 16".
kindly send me a personal message.
thanks.
im planning to buy 4x4 pick-up, tanong ko lang po kung anong lamang ng colorado sa mazda bt50 at ford ranger??? pang construction at madalas long distance travel po ang gamit....
the 8 cross members ladder chassis is a big advantage to your needs because you will use the cargo bay more often. chevy trucks are noted for their rigid chassis construction. also the duramax is a proven engine. medyo maingay ang engine as has already been reported but its tough and durable lalo na sa kargahan. more here...Colorado Chevrolet Philippines
you can also wait for the the new Isuzu pick up next year... Isuzu's New D-Max Pickup Is A Facelifted 2013 Chevrolet Colorado - Rumor Central
The Colorado is torquier than its pick up brother Isuzu D-Max: 180 ps and 470 Nm of torque for the Colorado, 180 ps and 380 Nm of torque for the D-Max. But nothing beats the 3.2 Duratorq TDCi engine of the Ranger and BT-50: 200 ps and 470 Nm of torque. Pero I've seen more Colorados in the CALABARZON and Bicol region than the Ranger and BT-50 combined. Maybe because it's due to the poor road conditions of the Bicol region and some parts of the CALABARZON region.
And since for hauling construction materials, going to construction sites and long distance travel ang magiging use ng new pick up mo, then the Colorado is for you since it has a 8 cross member ladder chassis.
Engine noise of the Colorado is that irritating.
The Chevy Colorado of today and the Isuzu D-max are no longer related. They don't refer to each other as brothers anymore.
Engine on the Colorado comes from VM Motori Italia, unlike before when both of their diesel pickups offered inland (mostly)-and-outside of US are Isuzu-bred, up to the 6.6-litre Duramax diesel engine on the Hummer. The VM Motoris on the Colorado of today, both the 2.5- and 2.8-litre diesel, are high-boost engines. They run in timing belts, not in timing gear-and-chain as previously provided by Isuzu.
The 8-cross member chassis came from Isuzu. The older 2004 4JJ1-TC D-max to the 2006 to 2011 4JJ1-TCX D-max's chassis shared with the Holden Colorado in Australia, Isuzu D-max in New Zealand and Chevrolet D-max in South America consist of an 8-cross member ladder frame.
Moreover, the abbreviation of the engine by-word "Duramax" that GM-Chevrolet still uses today is "D-max" - but it doesn't necessarily connote the other pickup, Isuzu D-max. The term comes from the derivative when both GM-Chevrolet and Isuzu Japan JV'd in the US.
They are still brothers, because they share the same platform, the same chassis, and the same body. Chevrolet uses a VM Motori designed Duramax engine, while Isuzu uses its own engine.
It's like the Ford Ranger and the Mazda BT-50. They share the same platform, same body, same engine and same chassis, but they use some parts that are different from each other.
Same concept pero magkaiba ng ginawa, Chevrolet and Isuzu share the same platform, same chassis, and same body but use different engines and some different parts. While Ford and Mazda share the same platform, same chassis, same body and same body, but use some different parts.
Like what i just said so
And they have different brains (the engine), where the Chevy is more powerful, thus different personality.
And they have entirely different manufacturing plants where the Colorado is made exclusively in the new GM-Chevrolet plant in Thailand.... Thus way different assembly line, no longer sharing the same Isuzu plant like before.
And the 8-cross member concept and application is Isuzu's original, not Chevrolet
That's the 8-cross member that naturally comes with the Isuzu D-max....
The Joint Venture covenant between the two (GM Chevrolet and Isuzu Japan) is already over, that's why just in the recent past right after the end the JV, Volkswagen wanted to buy or JV with Isuzu which didn't turn out to be successful....
Cheers!
