I just read the comparo on the other car site versus the Ranger Wildtrak... sabi nga nila kailangan ngang binabaon yung accelerator, kasi mostly boost reliant daw yung duramax. LTZ colorado and 3.2 Wildtrak...

I did test drive the TB and tried the manual mode for a short while... seemed ok but i never drove anything as big as a TB in a long time and it was just for one trip.

be careful in buying the TBZ/colorado 2014. dealers might make the mistake of giving you the 2013 model. both are the same in the physical looks. the best way to know if the vehicle is the 2014 model is to open the engine hood. check the ECU (engine control unit) which you can easily locate near the windshield to the right if you are standing in the front of the car. it should have 3 cable plugs/connectors (see sample pic below) which signifies that this is the newer ECU from DELCO.

if you find it has only 2 cable plugs/connectors, it is 2013 (and earlier models) using the EDC16 from Bosch.

You can also differentiate the 2 year models externally. The 2013 models have a Trailblazer/Colorado badge on the front doors while the 2014 models sport a Duramax badge on the front doors

Ulysees Ang failed to mention kasi that the peak torque of the Colorado and TB is at 2,000 RPM while the Ranger has a broader torque curve. Peak torque starts at 1,500 or 1,800 RPM yata and ends at 2,500 RPM.

Relies on boost, but there's a whole lot more of it, and it starts much earlier and smoother than in the Strada.

Ranger, you can basically idle along and still be accelerating faster than traffic, but once you put your foot in it, it doesn't quite have the punch of the Colorado.

No sir. Mahihirapan ang mga dealers gawin yan. TCCCI keeps track of all units sold by their dealers, kasama na ang year models. Takot ang mga dealer na mapenalize ng TCCCI if they do something like that. Be careful with your assumptions sir

with frequent scams happening here and there in our country, one cannot rule out suspicions on anyone. to the less informed and not so technical customers who just want their "2014 colorado", maybe one or two could slip through -lalo na sa mga di pa nabenta. parehong pareho 2.8 liter pa rin yan. kaya nung pumunta ako sa dealer ito ang una kong tanong as if i was an ignorant customer. of course the answer was the duramax badge.
when i showed the agent how i can really identify it, sabi pa, buti ka pa sir at alam mo yan, kami hindi. TCCI of course has its own rules and monitoring the whole country's dealeships may not be that easy.

When the customer receives their car, the Manufacturing date and year model of the car are on the OR.

To try and sell an old unit as new would bring the wrath of the DTI upon the dealer, and can lead to very costly settlements.

Standard practice when a new model is coming in is for all the old stock to be sold off. If it's not possible before the new units come in, then they're sold at deep discounts. Manufacturer/distributors are not stupid. They're not going to import significantly more product than they can sell before the facelift/upgrade comes in. They've got these things planned months in advance.

The manufacturer knows exactly how many units a dealer has, and what kind they A customer merely has to call the head office to confirm what they're getting.

I don't know any dealer suicidal enough to pass an old unit off as a current model... or stupid enough to try a simple rebadge to that effect. The usual scams of uploading a ton of overpriced accessories, or trying to lock customers into high interest terms, yes, that's fair play... but misrepresentation is an absolute no-no and can get your business license completely revoked.

I think it was just listed at the bottom of the article when they listed the tech specs side by side.

Then again not sure what that printed paper was for... any ideas?

    1. Limited ang mods sa lift up especially sa front. camber nya little adjustments lang di kinaya ang 2inches na lift up ng ironman
    2. not good sa acceleration, dapat hatakin mo mga 2,500-3,000 rpm para lumabas power ya, at sobrang delayed ang response.

    un lang po
    salamat
Was that the old engine sir?

Its good that you shared this info boss. Even the agents I ask doesn't know the answer to my question a few pages back. Sabi lang nila you could feel the power difference. Anglabo.

Hi Colorado owners, i was already approved by bank for 2014 Colorado LT. This will be my present to my parents for their 30th wed anniversary. They like the morrocan blue color however puro black sapphire at auburn brown lang ang available sa mga casa na pinuntahan ko dito sa laguna area (Chevy sta. Rosa and chevy southwoods). Any other recommended dealership na worth puntahan sa NCR? I know chevy southwoods is part of the notorious Juno group kaya wala naman akong balak magpa-PMS sa kanila sa future. This will be a surprise that's why i have very limited time to visit different dealership.
