guys question lang ilan horsepower ang cruz? kaya ba ng engine yung body niya kasi ang laki parang hirap ata
hello sirs,
normal ba Cruze na paminsan-minsan nakakapasok ung outside fumes sa loob ng cabin kahit na naka-on un air recirculation switch? i remember someone posting about it here in the forums kaya lang tinatamad na ako isa-isahin pait's kinda annoying lang kasi minsan nsa traffic ka tas papasok yung amoy usok sa loob o kaya naman biglang mag aamoy imburnal kahit wala naman nag alam nyo na..
Lae, the Chevy Cruze has an 1800cc engine, twin cam, DOHC. The engine has sufficient power for it's size & despite the large & heavy chassis, the power is more than adequate. I've driven the Cruze along NLEX, SCTEX & MacArthur Highway. Acceleration is smooth & may ibibigay pa ang engine when you stomp on the accelerator. Along Marcos Highway going up to Baguio, you will hardly feel any power deficiencies po, overtaking on an incline is easy. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The engine is efficient & quite economical. What's even better, it runs on 93 octane & is equally happy with E10 blended fuel.
Yes, that is a common complaint amongst Cruze owners. GM says this is a safety precaution to ensure fresh air comes into the cabin & replaces the air every so often, to keep the driver & occupants alert. Unfortunately, for a country like the Philippines, air pollution & diesel fumes enter the car as well. In our country, "fresh" air is even more polluted than the air inside the vehicle, hehehe.
I was informed that GM is investigating the situation & will be addressing this issue soon. The obvious solution is to completely close the outside vents & just let cabin air recirculate. This doesn't seem to be a problem with other vehicle brands in the Philippines, so I hope they can find a solution soon.
So, I had my 5,000 km oil change yesterday (I know first oil change can be done at 10,000 km but I couldn't resist). I specified fully synthetic oil.
Charges: Repsol fully synthetic oil 5W30 P 5,143.00
oil filter 1,003.00
labor 1,120.00
----------
Total P 7,366.00
...for a freaking oil change!!
I'll keep this for at least the next 10,000 km. Maybe even 15,000 km.
I was charged for a gallon of oil.
Reason I posted the above is because I remember a post here outlining the PMS cost and if my memory serves me right it only comes up to about 4T+. I just can't locate the page. And i don't know if that's with fully synthetic oil or ordinary oil.
