New Cruze owner here. I've been visiting this thread for a couple of months before I finally decided to get one. I really like this car but was a little apprehensive at first because of the negative feedbacks from previous Chevy owners. But after comparing other car models within its class, i really appreciated what Chevy has done to regain the trust of the people which made me decide to go for it.
I'm very satisfied with its performance specially the way it handles the curves. Now it's time to start searching for a nice set of 18" to go with my pewter gray baby. Thinking of getting one in black chrome finish. Any other suggestions?

wow kongrats pre! mine is now on display sa chevy pasig kasi wala pang plaka

black chrome finish will add more to its already 'astig' look.

thanks bro! yun sakin kinuha ko na maski wala pang plaka. they'll issue a letter naman stating that they are processing your registration. but due to some customs procedures, causing delay on the processing.

for now.. limited pa ang designs ng wheels na available for the cruze due to its pcd size of 5x105.. which is rarely use.

but you can try contacting B.R.E. for wheels availability. meron daw silang 5x105. and they are making an adaptor plate para we can use 5x114 na size..

Hmmm.... From Hyundai Tucson to Ford Escape.... I really wanted to buy a Tucson, but I don't think I can wait for 6 months (Waiting Time). I love the escape also, but now... I am having a second thought of buying a sedan instead. CRUZE is really a head turner, and it's classy, and very sporty. My second option is the Toyota Altis 1.6V Pearl White. Toyota now offers 40K discount pa. So both cars would likely have same value since if I plan to have the fabric and seats changed into leather in case I choose CRUZE LS A/T.

I like both, but which car will have a better resale value after 5 years?

I just sold my Toyota Altis 2005 E * P420,000.00. I find the resale value fair!

No worries! You know, I made a list myself and I included Innova, City, Strada pick-up (para sa baha), Altis and Civic. Made a comparison on the features, prices, freebies, etc. The Cruze was not even on my list until a friend of mine told me to check it. It was love at 1st sight talaga and needless to say I made up my mind after I test driven the Cruze. My 1st concern at the time was the bad reputation it had before plus the fuel consumption and parts availability, but after the assurance made by Chevy Pasig that it was all in the past plus the free 2 year free PMS, I can't just wait to drive and own one.

So there, my unit is just waiting for the PLATE and I can't wait to take it home.

Saw this over speedlab's thread in the altis' club site ...

    dropped with 1.5" H&R springs.

Best Chevy Cruze with aftermarket rims I've seen so far.

The size of the Cruze with all its trunk space is pretty much comparable to small SUV's. The difference ofcourse is the ground height. But then again, car buying is endmost most an emotional thing.

Resale value will be judged after a year or two of the Cruze in the market. The Optra has the worst I think, but check the Spark, AVeos, Captivas, Tahoes, Suburbans and Silverados... they have excellent resale values.

Cruze's I think will have good value in the long term given that this car has a global platform and the flagship model of GM globally.

I has great reputation in the global market so far.
