ah ok..akala ko nagtaas na yung alto e.. deluxe nga ata siguro nakita kong price..

pero sa tingin ko nga mas ok pa alto dito..may may sense e.. yung mga chinese cars at motorcycles kase binabawi nila sa fancy looks..

mas ok sana kung simple looks tapos sa durability na lang bumawi..

Anyway kakagaling ko lang kahapon sa Chery Makati sa Jupiter street sa Gil Puyat(nandun din ang service center nila) at nakita ko na yung QQ3 800cc at 1.1 liter(yung QQ3 Manumatic o EZDrive Automatic ay nasa labas at kulay blue sya),Eastar,V5,A5 1.6 liter,Cowin 1.6 LPG,Tiggo 1.6 at QQ6 sedan at V2 1.3 Minivan(wala pang price ang QQ6 at V2).Yung first batch ng display units ng QQ3,Cowin,QQ6 at Karry ay wala munang airbags at ABS..Pero later this month darating na yung 1st batch ng units na mayroon na nyan.By the way 3 years ang warranty ng cars nila...

Wala na yung ibang units(lalo na yung Karry) dahil dinala daw sa ibang provincial dealers tulad sa CDO,Iloilo,Cebu,Davao,Bulacan at iba pa ayon kay Tito Yupangco,isa sa boss ng Chery/Iseway Motors Philippines(owned ng Iseway and Chery of China at local partner nila na Serrano Enterprises).So far marami na raw gustong maging dealer nitong Chery.

3000 units ng Chery pala ang kinuha nila this year alone(worth 1 Billion Pesos yung mga yan) at balak pa nilang kumuha sa China ng 500 to 600 units pag nagkulang sa demand.So far kumuha na sila ng parts para sa mga cars nila (yung service center ay sa likod ng showroom nila ayon narin sa boss nila).

Napansin ko na pangit ang quality talaga ng Cowin(yung notchback sedan na based sa old SEAT Toledo),ang nipis ng katawan grabe(reminds me of L300 FB) at inside?Grabe ang tigas ng gears nya at talagang madaling masira(may 1.6 CVT Tritec nito soon)Yung LPG tank eh gawang China at medyo mukhang nakakatakot.May kumuha na daw ng 10 units nito(gagawing Taxi)..

Yung QQ3 800cc at 1.1 liter(beige ang interior color ng 1.1 while black sa 800cc) eh ok naman pero yung badge 1.1 liter eh nawala yung .1..Nakita at nasakyan ko na yung sedan(parang Cowin notchback din) version yung QQ6 1.3 at grabe horrible ang interior nya.Ang nakita ko lang defect ay yung sobrang laki nung gaps dun sa glovebox(ganyan din sa Cowin).Yung EZMatic QQ3 eh nakita ko(nasa labas sya pero kulay blue) at nakakatuwa yung ayos.

Tiggo 1.6?Parang RAV 4(ok naman ang quality ng exterior at kaha nya) pero di ko type yung aircon dials nya,masyadong rubbery yung materials na ginamit at ang laki ng gaps ng rear bumper nya at sira yung isang ilaw sa likod(yung circle na kulay pula sa right side).May 2 liter gas version na darating at very soon eh may A/T variant na..

V5?Ok narin tong isang to..Yun nga lang rear seats nya eh ang taas ng seat position pero yung 3rd row eh masikip at walang aircon duct dun.Marami ring defects ang exterior(ang laki ng gaps dun sa hood nya) at interior(madaling matanggal yung chepo na takip ng gearstick nya).Yung V2 1.3 Minivan(katapat ng Changan CM8 ng Car Options) eh ok naman yung design at interior nya.

Eastar(mukhang Daewoo Maguns/Suzuki Verona) at A5(VW Passat look-alike,pati yung rear aircon vents ginaya)?Ok naman tong dalawang clones na to.Ewan nalang kung bumenta to.

By the way sa July 16 ang bukas ng showroom nila(though bukas na talaga since Sunday) at may grand launching sa July 20 para sa media.Too bad hindi sila sasali sa CAMPI Motorshow sa WTC sa August at magrerely nalang sila sa roadshows at mall tour at displays in the coming months para sa brand awareness(may ad agency na silang kinuha para sa gagawing marketing at promotion ng Chery very soon).

Trick question ba to? Airbags lang ba nagdedetermine ng safety ng kotse? What good will airbags do if the cabin collapses and the whole steering column pushes your body up to the backseat?

meron ba kalaban sa pagbebenta ang Yupangco sa piano dito sa'tin. that can be a good business venture

Nung kausap ko si Mr Yupangco tungkol sa Chery dealerships eh malaking interest daw ay yung mga dealers sa province that's why ang tingin nila eh sa provinces o rural areas to magiging patok ang Chery at saka most of the cars na kinuha nila(3000 units ng Chery worth 1 Billion pesos) eh QQ3,QQ6 at Tiggo.Tingin din nila na bebenta din yung V2 minivan,V5 MPV pati narin yung Cowin LPG(so far the worst sa lahat ng Chery lineup kahit may LPG pa to).Yung A5 at Eastar eh sinusubkan lang but they don't expect too much sales on these sedans kahit mura pa.

Sa parts and dealer support naman eh magiging active sila sa at mura lang ang parts nya(plano nilang taasan ang warranty coverage),yung ABS component pala ng Chery cars ay galing sa Mando.

Suzuki Alto?Ok sana but most likely pag nagpakita na ang QQ3 sa public this year eh hihina ang sales nito.

Hehehe... easier example. You're seatbelted into a car with no airbags and you crash into a wall at 40 km/h. Now do the same thing in a tricycle with an airbag... which one will you walk out of unhurt?

*eggman: I share the same sentiments... the Cowin really looks like it's the weakest in their product line. Actually, everything looks weak, but then, realistically, these are cheap cars.

Maliit naman talaga ang volume ng Suzuki dahil sobrang limited ang dealeship network nila.

Grabe, ang laki ng investment ng Yupangco group. Great risk, too... to drop so much when you don't know if the cars will sell. But then again, nothing ventured, nothing gained. It will be interesting to see what the Philippine public makes of these cars in the months to come.

i will be visiting the showroom this weekend with my family mukang d2 mauuwi desisyon namin.. My first choice is to buy 2nd hand kaya lang as of now wala pang matitino sa mga nakta namin... May financing po kaya tong chery?

Was following a Chevy Spark this morning and noticed this as well. The driver's side lamp was red, the other one was clear. But I could have sworn I could see a bulb inside the clear-lensed housing. And it had a paraboloid reflector inside. I was thinking maybe the build quality was so poor that the red cover had popped off the passenger-side lamp.

It's a rear fog. All Sparks are like that. The Yaris does it better by integrating it into the taillight assembly.

Yung unang batch ng QQ3 for display purposes eh wala namang airbags at ABS pero yung parating na bagong units na for sale eh mayroon na raw...

Magkakaroon din ng diesel CRDI(2 liter TDI) engine ang Chery next year pero sa upcoming new Tiggo6 muna ilalagay.At most likely ilalagay din yan sa Tiggo at V5.

Masasabi kong sobrang ambitious ng local distributors ng Chery rito..Gusto nila ng mataas na sales at magiging aggresive sa marketing at promotions sa media sa una nilang year.Good luck nalang sa kanila.

At the rate things are going, and given the recent scandals in world news due to shoddy Chinese foodstuffs, I have decided to stop eating Ma Ling.

And I would not be surprised if the airbags in the QQ turn out to be defective when deploying. Or if they are made of brown paper bags.

I don't mind that my cheap furniture is made in China, or my T-shirt. But my food? or my car?

oo shempre durog ang QQ nyan pero bago madurog lagi imemention ng may-ari ng QQ na may dual airbags ang kanyang 300k car pus 1.6M suv 1 airbag ahihi, alam nyo naman pataasan ng ihi kahit alam talo :rofl:

Judging from the response of threads on budget cars, I think there is a demand gap that is waiting to be filled up for budget cars. Nicky dapat makapagtest drive kana nang QQ3 para we can have an unbiased opinion and a professional evaluation about its performance. Tapos magpost ka nang Alto vs. QQ3 comparison

Yes, there is a big demand. That's why there's a lot of interest in the Alto, despite it being somewhat old... and a ton of initial interest in the Norkis Legacy... and sales, I might add, before people caught on to the dubious quality of the vehicles.

Tignan natin... it may bomb, but it may last a while... it may become a hit, actually, if it turns out that the vehicles are of decent quality.

And it had a paraboloid reflector inside. I was thinking maybe the build quality was so poor that the red cover had popped off the passenger-side lamp.

The clear side is the reverse lamp for the Spark. On some vehicles (e.g. the '97 Toyota Camry), the driver's side reverse lamp is sacrificed and is turned into the rear foglamp.

The Lancer Box types were also this way in other markets. But the red lenses were available locally hence the proliferation of Lancers with one red reverse lamp. :D
