Consistent with my ballpark number for middle class - 2 working in the household - $120K per year....

So, should be compared with the equivalent middle class income in the Philippines - professionals,- IT/FMCG/Shared Services etc - 2 working in the household....

di naman po pera pera lang when comparing life here and life in the US or in other developed countries

You wanna live in a developed country coz mas may value ang human life doon kesa dito

mas competent ang gobyerno and other non-monetary factors

I am starting to love driving again. Wala kasing motor and the drivers are courteous. Pero pinaka relief ko WALANG MOTOR na bastos. Ang daming magagawa in one day dahil mabilis ang travel, mabilis ang errands.

BILIS ng government services. I went to the social security office, done in less than 30 minutes. I received my card FASTER than the estimated date. Customer service is EXCELLENT. I returned items on Amazon and my reason was I saw a lower price, picked up the item at home and had the refund the next day!

I hate their banking rules though...

    ...practical, too.

i once went to a government office there, to request for something.
at the window, the person says, "i'm sorry. you got to have this...xxx... for your request. it's available at the window over there.. then he whispers, "wait here". then he walks over to the other window, does something, and comes back. "ok, fill up the checked blanks, and we're free to go".
    "gee, thanks!"

you can not compare yung middle class sa US sa middle class dito sa atin.. ang minimum dito less than 600 pesos per day.. and minimum sa US eh $15 per hour..

look at the big mac index.. 1 day's minimum salary here can only buy 6 Big Mac's.. a day's minimum salary in the US ($120) can buy 34 Big Mac's..

So, bro., why can we not, as even if they have different salary levels,- the areas have different standards of living? Same is true with those living in CA vs. those living in TX. Why can we not compare them? What I presented is a template, not based on any journal or study- house+car+schooling,- which are fairly necessities and statics in an area. Of course it can be expanded with other variables like petrol, toll, food, helps etc.

Am no Economist, but IMO, the highly celebrated big Mac index is heavily flawed, because it is not totally dictated by the prevailing market forces in the area- but is dictated by the profit chart of a company,- which we have no knowledge of. But more importantly, people everywhere have multitudes of options where to get their meal.
