When I was still ordering via COD, I usually just forego on the change kung di naman masyadong malaki.
Same when I was ordering COD, I don't get the "butal" anymore (usually less than P20)

Now I NEVER pay COD and they know to leave the items by the gate (they doorbell lang to let us know how many packages) Kapag naabutan ko sila mag deliver I give P50. I only choose J&T and it's just 2 guys that always deliver parati

I read somewhere (is it here?) na riders prefer NON COD. Siguro kasi they lose more in terms of time kapag COD, may mga ibang recipients pala na nagpapa hintay pa ng matagal para sa bayad (dapat kasi naka ready na yung cash) Napansin ko yung isang neighbor ko pinapaiwan na lang din yun items sa may gate. I think the riders prefer that kasi faster turnaround time. Pati ata sa sellers last priority ata ang COD?

I think may kanya-kanya na kasing sector/area ang delivery guys/girls. Sa amin kapag Ninja Van, its this guy who drives a tricycle, kapag J&T naka-Mio na color-coded ang orange jersey, helmet at scooter and if its Lalamove, its a lady who just walks around our area (I think yung malapit na bahay niya rin yung sorting/distribution area).

Actually, kaya napaisip din ako about sa tipping, I have at least two riders na halos regular na with me lalo nung kalakasan ko mag-order. One a gal (LGBT?) and the other a guy. Yung guy twice ko na yata napapunta sa house ng brother ko since wala ako sa bahay at the time of delivery. Yung girl medyo nodding acquaintance na kami. Minsan nagkakasabay pa kami sa karinderya or sa grocery.

Both started nung COD pa ako so medyo nasanay sila noon with tips kahit papaano. Medyo matagal din before I moved to online payment. So medyo nahihiya rin ako ngayon na grab and go na lang. In lieu of the cash I just show them my brightest smile and thank them profusely. Pag alam ko naman na large item I do prepare kahit konting barya for their effort.

I can imagine why they would prefer yung non-COD. Hassle na nga yung magkwentahan pa ng bayad, medyo time consuming din for them lalo na kung parehong maghahanap pa ng barya. Then there's the safety factor also na may dala-dala silang substantial amount of money. More than twice na ako nagbayad ng more than 10k and as much as 30k. As a buyer naman, as much as I prefer online payment for the free shipping, there are sellers who I wouldn't risk my money with them without seeing that there's an item first.

I was platinum member before but is now downgraded to gold member due to less shopping.

Wow pwede pala yun na sa ibang bahay ipadala yung package? If that's the case, I will tip generously nga. Buti I have them leave the items lang sa gate para hindi ako na dyahe na wala silang tip hahaha, basta pag naabutan ko sila, that is when I give tip

10k and 30K!?! I've never bought anything that expensive online, I think max na yung P5k more or less (bought a mi phone)

My brother's house is about 2km away more or less. Pero sinabi rin ni rider na out of his area na yung lugar ni bro. Napakiusapan ko na lang na idaan doon. The next time it happened, he volunteered na doon na lang nya dalhin sa brother ko. Then one time na nag-doorbell siya at walang sumagot or lumabas, idineretso na nya doon sa kabilang bahay without even informing me. Haha! When I began using Shopee Pay, naipakiusap ko rin sa mga riders na sa guardhouse na lang ng subdivision iwan yung mga packages ko kapag wala ako.

There's a lot to be saved din talaga kasi online especially sa Shopee. Kung swerte ka makakakuha ka na ng free shipping, may mga voucher discounts pa. Malaking bagay din yung redeemed coins which you can use sa checkout. Kaya nga pati major appliances ko online na rin. Yung turntable is around 17k binayad ko. The 65" LEDTV is >30k. Minor hassle lang that I need to withdraw from the bank, then topup my wallet sa 711. Wouldn't want to directly link my bank accounts kasi sa mga online payments so I'm willing to put up with this minor inconveniences.

Madalas pag bumibili ako sa shopee or lazada eh nilalagyan ko ng butal yung price, something less than ₱50. For example usb cable bibilhin ko I buy 2 or 3 depending on the total price para may sukli na less around ₱50. Then hindi ko na kinukuha yung sukli.

Malaki ako mag tip sa grab food pag naliligaw sya. Nakikita ko kasi sa grab app yung map at kung paano sya nahirapan pumunta sa village namin, our village is in a cluster of villages, nasa gitna kami. Sometimes yung mga guard ng ibang villages may topak at ayaw magpa daan so yung rider iikot sa ibang gate. I would tip a little over ₱100 depending kung gaano ako naawa sa rider. [emoji16]

I came from a poor family, I know the struggle of making ends meet, hindi naman malaking kawalan sa akin ang ₱50 or ₱100 but it's already a full meal for them.

what are the benefits of a shopee platinum member? Is it the free shipping on all items?

I've just switched to shoppee recently because of wide array of sellers and also items that are not available sa laz. some sellers offering cheaper prices compared to laz. sellers not just chinese. there are some from Indonesia where I ordered a turn signal light socket that I can't find it on lazada.

Extra vouchers. They give additional vouchers for platinum members. The vouchers are still the same as others though like free shipping but only up to 55 pesos.

Refunds and disputes going through customer support supposedly have higher priority.

Didn't notice anything special about it, TBH.
