nagtry ako maghanap wala talaga 5m microusb charging cable. 3m lang pinakamahaba. nakakita ako 5m pero usb extension (male to female) and sinubukan ko. yung 2A output ng cigarette plug/usb charger ko 0.5A na lang pagdating sa dulo kasama na yung 3 feet na stock charging cable ng samsung. pero enough pa siya to power the sj4000.

so ngayon nasa rear cigarette plug na siya nakakabit and na-free up ko na yung cigarette plug sa harap para naman sa mobile phones namin ni boss kumander.

ang importante, magandang quality yung charger na gagamitin kasi sa haba ng usb extension cable, hindi maiwasan na bumaba yung current. eventually, pag nakahanap ako ng 5m microusb cable, saka ko na papalitan.

nakabili din ng 3m microUSB cable sa cable monster. 195 lang. color blue nga lang at walang black. pwede na rin at least malinis tignan.

Hey guys,

I have a similar predicament ni sir wewoy. I'm using a mobius for dash cam and i want to free up the cigar port. But rather than getting an extremely long cable I was looking at getting a 5V hardwire kit. Just wanna ask your opinions on whether this is a good idea? Do any of you hardwire your dashcam power source?

P.S. Sir Wewoy, there are a lot of 5M cables online but you have to ship them from china though. The reason why I dont like using a long cable to the rear charge port is because the length increases the resistance in the charging circuit. That is may be why you are only pulling .5Ah. And since I'm using a capacitor in my cam, I worry that this setup may not provide a consistent charge to keep my device running.

Just add a Fuse Tap to hard wire your dashcam.

Better go with prince777's suggestion and hardwire it if you can. While my method works, may mga cons sa very long cable din so i'm planning to do a proper rewire eventually.

Actually ready na ako. I bought these oem type usb plugs for cars from olx (look for the keywords oem usb honda). so ikakabit na lang sya sa free button port ng sasakyan and then yung wires i-tap sa wirings ng cigarette plug. the wires come with a fuse.

ang balak ko is still using the 3m power cable wired underneath the ceiling tapos sa a-pillar, then sa ilalim ng dashboard tapos lalabas near the steering wheel tapos plug into one of the usb sockets nito. i still have the cigarette plug free tapos meron pa akong isang usb plug for accessories since 2 plugs ito.

pm me since i got an extra. the one i got is fit for honda pero mukhang pwede iretrofit sa ibang vehicle makes. got it for P1.5k i'll give the extra for 1k basta pickup sa office sa mckinley hill, bgc.
