I'm equipped with one. Bought from Lazada. Its a limited Android device compared to the tablets and there could be compatibility issues if you put more apps.

Its onboard maps are next to useless as they're either China, Russia, or some other country except ours So you'll have to use Google Maps. You can install Waze, could be a 50:50, it may work, it may not.

If you're highly familiar with Android devices, then you have a better tolerance level for its shortcomings. More tolerant if you know Chinese.

Ako, tiniis ko na lang. Actually repaired it recently, replacing its battery.

June 9, 2017 - "A dashcam is however allowed as long as it is placed behind the rearview mirror."
New Anti-Distracted Driving rule allows gadgets, objects on 'safe zone' | ABS-CBN News

June 14, 2017 - "The Department of Transportation and other agencies on Wednesday said the Anti-Distracted Driving Act does not cover the use of dashcams and the placement of accessories on vehicle dashboards.

"Hindi po covered ng batas na ito ang dashcams. If you read strictly po ang batas, ang covered lang po nito ay mobile communications device… and entertainment electronic device. Hindi po covered ang dashcam," DOTr Assistant Secretary Leah Quiambao said in a televised press briefing."

To share, the Sjcam legend that I used as a dashcam for 4 months has a bloated battery pushing out the bottom part of the lcd screen while the transcend dp220 that I have installed on 2 other cars are still working well for more than 2 years now.

My SJ4000 has had a bloated battery for the past 2 years I think, I've already changed batteries but it still got bloated. Still works though and the battery isn't leaking.

Looking to retire the SJ4000 after 3 years of service and replace it with something with better resolution soon..

whats a good stealthy capacitor 1080p camera that can be used to capture the rear footage? car has light tint so i stay away from large devices. a119 might be overkill for rear use

about 1 year old na rin yung G1WC sa sasakyan ko. may mga times lang na wavy yung video, nawawalan paminsan minsan ng kapit yung suction cup at tipong nakalambitin na lang sa power cable.

purchased it for 2.8k sa online seller.....so far so good....satisfied....

sana nga tumagal pa kahit 1 o 2 taon pa.....

So what's a good value dashcam with decent nighttime HD video quality?

I'm looking to replace my 3 year old SJCAM SJ4000. I have a Qube A7 on my other car but unfortunately it's no longer available in the market. I was looking at the Mini 0805 before but that was almost 2 years ago so I expect that there are now better dashcams for the same 3-4k budget.

yung transcend dp50 and ddpai mini is around 4.7k both pina ka base model of each brand. On paper mas prefer ko ang ddpai dahil at that price its using na the sony exmor for its optics, very discreet dahil mallit and also capacitor base na ang power supply.

Not a fan of Transcend, yung DP200 and DP220 nga so-so lang video quality, mas okay pa Xiaomi Yi at less than half the price. Not to mention, Transcend dashcams are very bulky and unsightly.

The Mini 0805 has really good form and good enough video quality. The Ddpai mini has the same discreet form as well, but not sure if video quality is good enough.

Yun nga eh... nakita ko yung quality ng transcend, and they don't seem to be worth double the price of the chinese G1Ws I have now.

Where can you reliably get the 0805s and the 0906s? The lazada sellers have them at 6k+

mini 805 has good reviews. about the video quality, some say na its out of focus but they posted a DIY instruction on how to focus the lens by opening the cam and manually adjusting the lens.

I have the Qube A7 which has the exact same internals as the 0805 and have no issues with its focusing. With such a short focal length and such a small sensor, DOF/focus is not a concern for me.

The only problem, as mda says above, is finding a reliable seller of these mini dashcams with reasonable prices.

Semi up for this question... Where do you get decent dashcams din for a decent price?

Yung mga Transcend doesn't have mindblowing video quality for the 5k+ they are asking for at the shops...

So far, yung G1W-CBs I use are just average, but are decent for the price (<3k).

Wondering if may anything better in that price range with both a capacitor (non battery), and adhesive mounts.

1st choice ko sana viofo 119s pero sa december pa dating ng mga units sa D3 tech.
