Why is it some of my friends told me that my halogen high beam will not be that bright if I installed HID on my projector low beams on the Montero Sport. Masasapawan daw ng low beam HID yung halogen high beam

I think not completely masasapawan naman po siguro.

if your low beam is not aimed right, or if its aimed too high, of course the output of the high beam will be overlapping the output of the low beam.

this mostly happen on the dual reflector low beam and high beam in which the low beam has hid on its halogen reflector which acts like a high beam due to uncontrollable glare. so masasapawan talaga yung high beam na halogen pag ganun.

but on the case of the montero i think it wont happen

I had Nighthawk done my HID with a Retrofit Projector last week. He did a great job. Looks OEM. I am very happy with it. =)

    Parts used:
    - a clear lensed FXR bixenon projectors with color modification
    - philips 85122+ d2s 4300k color bulbs
    - apollo shrouds

The light is bright and yellowish in color. The output is wide - good for 3 to 4 lanes - with a sharp blue outline. No glare at all to incoming traffic. Yay!

Before that, I was using a 6000k hid that was just installed directly into my lamp. While it was bright white, the light output was going everywhere and not directed. I hated that the bright white light does not mix well with the usual yellowish light of the other cars - it was distracting to me and the other drivers. I had to angle it low to avoid glare to incoming drivers causing the throw of the light to be so short that I couldn't dive safely on the highway. During the rainy months, the white light was reflecting off the rain drops that I can't see the road much. I was actually contemplating to change back to the oem Jazz lamp until I saw nighthawk's post retrofit projector. I am now a happy camper.

nighthawk, gary quoted me 29k all in for Tucson. FX-R Lens, Philips bulbs, denso ballast, gatling shroud. magkano sayo?

your 2008 CRV is projector already. kahit halogen projector yan, a nice decent hid 4300k would be enough

    Hi,

I have 07 isuzu alterra naka 8000 kelvin both low beam (projector) and fog lamps. ung projector ok ang cut offs, pero ung foglamps, like sinasabi above, scattered, uneven ung light (which don't look so bright at all).

question po, is there a way to retrofit the foglamps for my alterra? where po pwede? my location is Cebu City. hehe

sa alterra, it may be possible pero gagawa ng bagong foglights, say a DIY foglights using projectors.
